Yeah it's really hard to do that in training without a hulking centre back with his studs raking down your calf and his fingers up your arse. I know that wasn't the point you were making, I'm referring to the tweeter.
if I was CEO of a football club and I had made a gentleman's agreement with a player I would stick to it I would assume that the agreement would be that he could be sold for what we paid in transfer fee if we got relegated
Birmingham City have rejected an opening offer from Hull City for 28-year-old defender Ryan Shotton. (Birmingham Mail)
I have no doubt that we are going to have a mass spree of signing players. I expect we will sign 7-8. My problem is why Ehab has to do everything so last minute. It is completely counter-productive to anything he wants to achieve. His last minute and dilatory dealings last year got us relegated and there is potential the same could happen this year. Whether he wants to stay or go he needs a successful transfer window to either get promoted, steady the ship or be able to sell the club. Players need to be signed quickly so they can build up fitness, gel with team and settle in the area. Whilst we don't know what it going in behind the scenes we can see what is happening front stage and centre. There are two weeks remaining before the season starts and as it stands we are short of at least 8 players. What are Ehab and Lee Danbrough doing. I know transfer deals aren't easy or quick transactions but Ehab seems to be more inept at completing them swiftly then any other chairman.
Yeh i was just pointing out that there is no actual set fee that would release him to talk its whatever the Allams deem to be a acceptable fee
wouldnt that apply to any player? if Ehab had agreed to sell him then surely they must have talked about for what fee
Ehab said the work to start recruiting players started before the end of the season, as Bummers said this was an ideal time to overhaul the squad. However i we've lost our best players and ehab come the end of the window will have thrown a load of last minute buys together.
Ehab seems to be one of these guys who thinks he's got to win to prove he's a "man" if a club quotes a reasonable fee then he will try to haggle it down and get nowhere if a club wants rid then they will see him coming, quote a high fee and let him haggle it down to a fee still high for dross
He doesn't want to pay 120k in wages for 8 players for a month while he perceives that they're not working,
but he'll pay it every month for players who will be lucky to get a place on the bench for most of the season?
I think Ehab leaving the signings to last minute is as simple as trying to save a few bob on a few weeks wages. It's all about the money and what he said previously about getting players in early was just to keep us fans quite
Why is everyone getting flustered about losing a polish winger. If we are going to play 4-2-3-1 as suggested by slutskis previous club's then out and out wingers aren't needed anyway. Henrickson (Mason when fit), Meyler and Evandro are perfectly adequate for the 3 across midfield in the championship with Clucas and Stewart at behind them.
wasn't Niasse on £55k per week - we're not going to pay anything like that even if he did come on a free - and presumably he's not going to forego that money if Everton are contracted to pay his wages
I'm far from happy with the state of the club, but that is a daft sumary of what is supposed to be happening. In all honesty you seem to like telling us all what we should be thinking, yet you come across as not being too clued up yourself. Cash + Niasse + locker
