Totally agree not a sniff of being a wum, in fact he comes across very well.

 

Selling him this season basically shows that clubs no longer have any say in transfers. We all know about player power, but forcing a move when you have 5 years left on your contract and we have made it clear we want him to stay would be silly. Even worse if he goes for less than £75m.

There could be some serious cash flowing down river and should make it easy for Liverpool to match the valuation.

With the money, Saints should get some promising Centre back that everyone else has ignored for £20m and give every season ticket holder a full rebate of the ticket price and a free drink at each game of the new season

This is a worry. However it will take a massive fee from Barca to get Coutinho, we would then need to replace him. I don't think he wants the move right now though.

I imagine Barca will look to Dybala though if Neymar leaves.

If Barca get £200m for Neymar then £100m for Coutinho is hard to turn down, especially in a position where personally I think Liverpool already have good strength in depth

Isco at Real might be a good option if he wants to play more but I'd rather we keep Coutinho.

 

I note that Les is getting a lot of stick on forums (though not here). Now it is possible that he will stand firm and probable that VVD will be sold to someone (though please not Liverpool), but there is really only one person at fault here....the non-player himself.

Only just read what's been happening. Real shame that Van Dijk is acting like a first class ****er but then again what do you expect of modern footballers. Seemed happy enough to sign his contract last season. If he leaves then he is certainly up there with Lovren and Koeman.
Still though this doesn't mean he will definitely leave, just that he wants to. If Saints are resilient then maybe he can buck up his ideas and perhaps do a Morgan, though he would have to work very hard to even get anywhere near us forgiving him. I don't really mind though if we sell him now. Get someone who actually wants to be here. Whoever wants him get a significant amount. If it's Liverpool then slap on another 20m.

One last thing. Just **** Liverpool. **** that club that is rotten to the core with their backhand tactics and arrogant fans who think they actually have a chance of silverware. And also to those who come on this board to visit. Most of you are good posters and it's always good to have other voices. But one or two clearly are coming on here to gloat and WUM, no matter how much they try to sugar coat it.
