Yeah we'd be right up for that. Problem is that Klavan is only worth about £4M. He's OK but certainly not going to replace VVD.
I think you should deffo be involved in the coming negotiations though.

Sort of. Though from what I can gather, Ings isn't an utter prick so didn't deserve to have his career cut short.

He does seem a nice chap. I imagine he'll move if a bid come in though. Could be wrong though, perhaps he'll replace Coutinho when he goes to Barca.

If kyle walker is worth 50million anything short of 70 for VVD is a disgrace to mankind.

Still can't see Liverpool paying that much, as posted before liverpools valuation was £44m.

It should be simple: don't reach the fee, they don't reach the player.

Doubt that'll be the case though. Hopefully we stand our ground, for us and football. The whole saga typifies modern football, with its greedy agents and easily led footballers.

Yeah we will, we spent nothing last season and all we've spent this season is the Salah fee. Robertson was essentially £0 as we've sold them Stewart for the same fee. VVD plus a midfielder and we're done. You're obviously not going to be happy about this transfer but you will get a huge fee.

If and when he goes, the fee will be "in the region of xx" and then fans from the buying club will declare it is xx minus 15m and Saints fans will blest that we undersold him.

I don't rate Walker and the fee was stupid, well done Spurs. VVD is very good so if we are going to fork out a huge fee then so be it. He may still go elsewhere though, money talks and if City offer a massive wage his resolve to play for us may waiver.

For football's sake, we shouldn't selll him to Liverpool. This is not a whiney dig at Liverpool, but if you do sign him this window having "been made" to issue that apology, then it makes a complete mockery of the game.

We all know what goes on, yet Liverpool toook it too far and it seems nudged (probably by the Premier League) to make the apology. For the PL to allow this to happen after that and for us for that matter, destroys any remaining credibility in the transfer system we have. In my opinion.

I hope when he goes, he goes elsewhere. Sadly I don't think he will because he will just say no to that.

You're not wrong there.... bizarrely enough I received an email yesterday from one of those motivational type websites, that said this:

"When money talks it drowns out all other voices"

I'm just hoping Chelsea or City have a loud voice.... or even funnier, United!

I agree on the transfer business, it's become a joke and I wish my club would act in the proper way and be part of these idiotic actions that are driven by greed. Everyone is doing it but that simply should not be the case.
Agents are then advising players badly, what the **** is VVD doing with this silly statement, just hand in an official transfer request, yes you will lose money but that only right.

Dick Van Dyke has apologised for his terrible impression of a cockney accent in Mary Poppins according to the Times today.

All we need now is for Dickhead Van Dijk to apologise for his poor impersonation of how a professional footballer behaves.
