Indeed. I don't for one minute think Everton are interested he's nowhere near the standard they're aspiring to. This is his agent letting every club know what he's available for, and I for one have no issue with this. If we can get £7.7m for him that would be a good result.
Hate to see hot prospects being picked up relatively cheap (not by us) and then bought for insane amounts. Missing a trick. Bradley Dack Rico Henry Jason Cummins Callum Camps will be the next
Why do you hate that? Do you hate that it's not us picking them up or the fact the players are doing well?
Well, we go into the Benfica friendly with 1 recognised centre half and no left back. Great job Enob.
It's a big risk to pick up league one players, you need to have middle men. Similar to how Southampton take the risk on players and then Liverpool will buy them from them. Liverpool would rather pay a premium on a player that has experienced the league than take a risk on an unknown and risk them failing.
You're wrong, Mannion at left back and because of just how attacking we are , we can put Marshall at centre back. I fear how much of a morale destroyer a demolition from Benfica could be. Hopefully the underdog situation can help and we can do a Cambridge.
Whilst I get what you are saying. Completely. We are no where near the stature of those clubs. We need to take educated punts on these players because the vast majority end up getting sold on and making it . Moneyball.
My point was, it's all relative. Clubs at the top of the Championship aren't going to take these punts but teams like Brentford and Peterborough will. Same applies to L1 and L2 etc.
Most of them think we are paying 8 million upfront like they are for Robertson, even though it's actually half of that.
I know it doesn't make a huge difference but that's ahead of the 2013/14 season so actually four years ago.
It is, to to be fair what did anyone expect? It was totally predictable. The sad thing is that the professional sports observers have either missed this developing, or they choose to be silent. The press do their job, as they see it; we should be wise to that. I sense, from what I have seen, a media lining us up for the dog's bollocks of ridicule. TWT.
The only problem was he didn't understand how to play it with the players he had. He bought badly for his tactics; not bad for £££s return.
if we are expected to be happy cause fraizer 'fat' campbell joined on a free... cause no one else wanted him chelsea loanee and a ''swap for robertson' a guy aged 23 whose played pretty much same level of football than ****ing josh tymon then yea hull city are ****ing going places... what a ****ing joke ****s like patty saying ppl being doom and gloom is bad for what signing a fat free agent campbell?
