He's in his mid 60's and has been drinking at that kid of level for most of his adult life, I think he's some form of medical miracle tbh.
I'll buy a couple of beers for a Friday evening, usually three ales for a fiver or something, or a pack of lagers if it's summer. Maybe also have a glass of wine with tea. Saturday will share a bottle of wine, with me having the majority, with the evening meal. Maybe a pint after golf or at the match. Or two. Sunday depends, if the weather is good and we end up in the garden then a few coolies and then a glass or two of vino with the main meal. **** all Monday, Tuesday & Thursday but a barbie in summer or midweek match in winter could mean some beers on the Tuesday maybe. The big one for me at the moment, which no doubt pushes me into the too much category, is that I go out on a Wednesday with work. We're all working away so it breaks up the tedium and we go out for some decent, and sometimes not so decent, food and a few beers. By a few I mean eight pints is par. This is what ****s up my week! Beyond that midweek session I don't see the rest as too much. Is it???
Might have a session on the beers once a month and occasionally a couple of pints midweek. Don't drink too much anymore. Exception of this month where I've had 2 weddings, a stag do and a birthday tonight!
You're probably adding another full day of calories to your diet each week with the booze, it's not excessive at all though, especially since you're active. 130,000 extra calories in the year, unless you're a light eater. They'll need taken care of so make sure you don't give up the squash!
That's some going, I don't think I could get married more than once in a lifetime, never mind in the same month. Happy Birthday though
You have to be fully relaxed when approaching sheep. Just like dogs can smell fear, sheep can smell hesitation.
Most weeks nothing. Back in University I had one beer a day. I probably have about a half dozen beers a year now as treats (not supposed to drink beer, gives me gout... But a one off every couple months doesn't hurt). I'll probably go through a bottle of amaretto in a year too... Usually just a splash occasionally all in my coffee. On a rare moon some Bailey's Irish Cream. Once in a while a bottle of port. On average I'd say I drink one alcoholic unit a month total these days though. At my worst in uni it was about 1 a day.
Same. I'm a regular, but not big drinker. I have regular blood tests. If there was a problem it would show up in the liver function test. Until the Doc says something I assume I'm fine. All good so far.
Yeah, definitely makes that troublesome midriff weight difficult to shift. A certain cretin will now no doubt pounce on this and come out with all the hilarious fat 'jokes' again but the fact is, I'm not. Nor am I thin! No gut or owt but that last bit won't shift and I know 100% it's down to alcohol.
Yeah, I agree. I could do with not working away though (I've still got another year or so left!) as it's piss easy to add a barbecue involving beers to that now obligatory midweek sesh. When the football season kicks off for to ensure the European game we watch IS the sesh so it doesn't get doubled. We go on holiday in a couple of weeks. That's nearly three weeks of between six and eight bottles of cold beer plus wine every day. And I can't wait!
I drink plenty of water and I exercise, I don't drink fizzy drinks and eat quite well. Hopefully that'll balance things out.
That's the word, balance. I could never be monastic but nor could I just eat and drink ****e. I also get loads of varied excerise. I wouldn't worry too much about alcohol consumption from how you've described things, bar the excessive calorie intake that it does indeed bring. Anyway, I'm off to the garage to get a beer, Estrella or Moretti?
And start prattling on about how Real are pissed off with Jose for not selling them DDG when he was the manager of Chelsea?
