This took me by surprise, especially as Fox has been brought in, I thought he may not be happy about having extra competition at left back, but to see that he's committed like that is great, really shows the team is buying into Adkins' "it's about more than just 11 players" philosophy! Morgan did an interview with a french magazine saying he'd signed a 3 year extension (or something like that), I hope that appears on the OS soon
SF4L are you Yoda in disguise? In all seriousness though, am very happy with this news. His hard work and commitment has paid off, whether he will remain first choice left back with Fox now on the bus too remains to be seen. We all know Mills isnt in NA plans, and i imagine Dickson will remain a squad player.
SaintsFan4Life - your signature phrase reminded me of something that happened yesterday while my brother and I were dumping some rubbish at the tip. Very boldly printed, on the side of a tracked digger, about 5 yards away, was the LIEBHERR name. So I turned to my, totally disinterested in Saints/Football/Sport-in-general, brother and asked, you remember I mentioned about the industrial billionaire, Markus Liebherr, who came and saved Saints..? Yeah, he said. Well, look, I said pointing to the name on the digger. WHAT..? he said, with all confusion. Honestly, my brother's speed of uptake sometimes gets to me.
Can we assume that what Schneiderlin said about a new 3yr deal in that French interview is wrong then? I admit, it's weird as it would have been announced on OS but the interview was quite in depth and seemed genuine? Either way, if you haven't already sign up Morgan! I'm loving how we are tying down players, it has to add to the squad togetherness and stability!
We should offer Morgan a great new deal if he hasn't already signed one. He is a brilliant player and will just get better!
Sorry to be a pedant but Markus didn't own the industrial business 'LIEBHERR' with the cranes and diggers.
