More I've read about McLaughlin, the more he sounds like he could be a canny cheap signing for this division. I did wonder though, if we did sign him, if it would mean the end of either McG or Marshall - but as Marshall is likely to be out for the window, it seems not. A sensible downsize would still be to get rid of either Marshall or McG though.
Don't Sunderland need a keeper? Not checked if they have signed anyone but they've sold Pickford and Mannone.
I don't actually know mate, I didn't see what he'd posted. I just know he's a grade A bell end and any thread is better off without him.
Seems there's a lot of people on here who would kick the chess board across the room after losing the first pawn. The transfer window and everyone's part in it will be judged when it closes - not before. And if anyone thought we wouldn't lose a stack of our best players after relegation you don't know much.
Great, but the season starts in less than 2 weeks. So we should really be judged on having a competitive team in place before then.
I wondered whether twitter had come up with a silly translation but my wife (who's polish) said it was correct.
Deals take as long as they take. Some can be done quickly, others take longer. We're not the most attractive destination for players now, so it probably takes a hell of a lot of work to get the right standard of players in.
Other clubs in equally 'less attractive' places don't seem to have an issue. Middlesbrough/Leeds for example.
It's alright, I've only been saying this since the beginning of June. It won't touch the sides with some on here.
it's all very well and good having these relegation clauses in place but the whole point of having the parachute payments is to avoid a club having the heart ripped out of them I think a relegated club is better off keeping the best players on good contracts so they have a good chance of getting promoted quickly by all means have relegation clauses in case you are ok with the player leaving but it would have been better to offer jak and hudd new contracts even if maguire and robertson would have left anyway
That's debatable. Boro are the favourites to go back up and Leeds are always seen as a sleeping giant.
