    Sergio bottled it last time when it was here,Harrington done him up like a kipper.In fairness Sergio broke his duck in majors this year but should have done it years ago and Harrington done him twice in majors,Sergio not pleased.I hope Sergio has something to prove and still believe a Paddy or Spaniard will win,just saying.

    It was at Carnoustie that Harrington beat Garcia in a play off, being an Irishman I'd of thought you'd know that <laugh>

    Birkdale was the following year when Harrington retained his title. Harrington was in the final group that year with Greg Norman. Garcia was not in contention.

    Harrington didn't really do Garcia up like a kipper either at Carnoustie. I seem to remember both him and Garcia driving it in the water hazard off the tee in the play off. It was more a case of Harrington bottling it slightly less than Garcia. It certainly wasn't a case of Harrington playing superb golf to win the play off.

    The other battle the pair had in the PGA championship admittedly both players played superb, but Harrington just about had Garcias measure that day.

    Weather conditions are quite favourable this morning, yet looking at the scoring so far no one is getting a lot of birdies.

    It just goes to show that this is probably the toughest of the Open venues.
