A is true. In 2015 I was surfing at a place called San Onofre in Southern California. It's known for having Great Whites in the area. I spoke to the locals about Sharks before getting in and they were like 'Oh hell yeah, we sometimes see fins out beyond that rock over there' gesturing towards a group of rocks about 800 yards off the beach. 'But they usually stay the other side of that reef, so don't worry about it buddy' I paddled right out the back, took off on a fair sized wave, stuffed the bottom turn and came off. The wave took my board over the falls and I felt the heart sinking feeling of the leash snapping. When I came up I knew I had a long swim back to the beach. All I kept trying not to think about was that scene in Jaws where the shark breaks the wooden jetty and the bloke falls in. With his mate on what's left of the jetty shouting 'Just keep swimming, don't look back, swim faster. !' Unfortunately there was an attack there in the spring this year. A woman survived but had some of her leg bitten off. Lots of Great White sightings in SoCal this year.
A. I once painted the white lines on the pitch at the old Highbury stadium. B. I have been on the pitch at Arsenal at HT in front of a capacity crowd during a game.
An opportunity missed there Gooner. No second chance now though bless her. Always fancied her, from what was portrayed in the press.
No it was actually A!! Though I did place a couple of bets that day, Ward Prowse first goal and 1-0 at 100/1 & Saints on pens at 10/1. @Archers Road talked me out of placing an insurance bet on Ibra first and United win
