Gone for Gordon, no one does point-blank saves like he does, without the injuries he would have been up there with the best. My favourite ever goal Bri and sorry @Safc83, it isn't meant to dis-joint the thread. Other ****ers will do that later Superb footballer..
Pearler, probably a better goal in all honestly but I have a lot of nostalgia attached to that era of time when Cantona scored.
Agree mate, I was a big Cantona fan, loved his attitude, persona and his poetry.. Always think of an Albatross when his name gets mentioned.. He's a bloody good actor too, very watchable..
Heard it was through his line-dancing.. Used to get carried away by all accounts, ****ed his arm and then defoe hit it. Damage was done 2 nights before at a Maypole practice when he tripped over a boulder and then ****ed it up twirling Mrs McIntosh. The Defoe blame was fake news, we all saw it, hardly contact..
Was he injured? I heard he had a big bust up with Brucie and just wouldnt play. Seems strange he is OK now.
Just in case anybody is looking in. What was so special about Sorensen saving a penalty was that it was Shearer's penalty that he saved when we were 2-1 up in the last 10 minutes. The same Alan Shearer who was manager of Newcastle when they were relegated. The same Alan Shearer who the one and only Julio Arca snapped and finished his career on the Sunderland pitch. I know I went on a bit, but it was worth it, imho.
It was the first penalty for yonks that Shearer had saved or missed as the press at the time called it.. was your age when all that happened, time flies eh..
Oh yes, 60 in a couple of weeks. Referred to surgeons again, what a present yeah? Will be in touch or Lollie will soon.. Love to the crew always..
Get it sorted mate. Love and wishes to all you guys! Will see you soon. Looking to head up norff soon to see family!
