----------------Mingolet---------------- Clyne-----Matip----VVD------Milner* -----------Keita----Coutnho---------- -----------------Lallana---------------- Salah---------Firmino------------Mane *with the new **** guy taking some of the strain as Miler burnt out last season. Sturridge would be good back up to Firmino. Coutinho WILL play deeper this season as Klopp tried it towards the end of last season and it went well and he plays there for Brazil now. Formation would be more fluid than it looks on paper as the front 3 can play all 3 positions. Lallana would drop in when Coutinho pushes forward etc. So yeah the formation isn't quite as simple as I suggest.
Leicester done it on a budget, to be fair. These aren't very well liked in Germany. They've spent their way through the leagues and that isn't the German way.
Spine looks solid, Mignolet aside, worst GK in the league. No place for Captain Fantastic's Fantastic replacement? Looks a good team for Europe, maybe a bit too light for rainy nights in Stoke.
Henderson would start some games for sure, plus Can and Wijneldum. That's why it's near on impossible to pick a 'first 11', far too many variables to be that simple. Those games I'd expect a more compact midfield with 4 in. Mingolet was excellent towards the end of the season, without some of his performances we would not have got top 4. Yes we could do better, but we have young Karius that will take over at some point. He didn't start well with us but he was a very well respected GK in Germany so I'm sure long term he'll be very good for us. Recently we've had a shocker with GK's, our last decent keeper was years ago! Mingolet is nowhere near the worst in the PL though
