I'm not as bothered by it as I should be though, purely because he's clearly a reckless idiot.
He'll do something else equally stupid and get locked up or worse.
He always has done and he doesn't appear to be changing.

Would it be bad form if I encouraged everyone in Croydon to march to the BOXPARK and demand their £241 back? Because that's what each of us is paying for that white elephant.

  8. An article that needs to be taken with a health warning as it hardly likely that Germany will be fans of Brexit. however, it's easy to believe the chaos of the British position that their representatives describe - after all it mirrors the disorganised shambles of a government in disarray that we witness on a daily basis....

It has to be pointed out that, when in opposition, the Dire Leader's record was either to vote no or not bother to vote - which implies the u-turn post 2010 is most likely enforced by the party whips than May having a change of CPU.

Our lack of transfer activity is so bad that it's leading to hacks making things up to report about.

That's the only (other...) logical explanation for the reports that Labour have broken a pledge to wipe out student debt, reports which have one tiny flaw in them: Labour never vowed, pledged or promised to wipe out student debt, they pledged to scrap tuiition fees.

It's telling that the main source of this "story" is...drum roll please...the Tories' Facebook page. Shouldn't that be the first clue for anyone other than the Guido Fawkeses of the world that the story is utter bollocks?

I've often wondered who converted that word "gay" into a nicer word for homosexuals? I can still remember a couple of them hanging around our schools in Tottenham when I was a kid. We knew who they were but nobody seemed to care. The two locals were known as Bill and Ben the baker.

Don't confuse homosexuals with *****philes. Most homosexuals are not *****philes and most paediphiles are not homosexual. Legend has it that gay is an an acronym for 'good as you'.

Never thought of the word homosexual as less nice than gay to be honest. Just wittier. Weird thing to spend time thinking about.

At 1100 today the salaries of BBC employees earning over £150,000 is to be published. I have listened to various comments about this recently but am still at a loss as to the benefits of this. All that will happen is that it will provide a stick for those who do not like to BBC to beat it with, and for people who do not like the specific people concerned an opportunity to say that they don't think that person deserves that salary. I think this country should be (generally) proud of the BBC but it appears that the party that pretends it identifies with traditional values seems most intent to destroy it. I think the BBC is unique, world renowned and we destroy it at our peril. I should also say that the BBC already publish the amount it spends on salaries, so what difference does it make to break it down to individuals? Presumably BBC's competitors will not be offering such information. I see the front page of the Sun tomorrow with a load of "heads" pictures and salaries shown underneath.

Edit: and this hasn't been thought through anyway (surprise) since this is only salary for stuff directly for the BBC. For example Graham Norton is paid via an independent production company for his Friday evening show, so that won't appear - only his Radio 2 show and Eurovision will be accounted for. So presumably in future all BBC "stars" will simply just set up independent companies to be paid through.

Well... no because the BBC is publicly funded so they are obliged to publish that information. ITV, C4 etc are private companies.

    I think C4 isn't (or wasn't anyway) private.
Anyway, they still compete with private companies, the information is commercially sensitive and should not be released.
