Take your pick Bessone or Pennington. Ok so Pennington will be great, he will be better than Tom Lees who we should never have sold and better than a freebie Alex Bruce who has no club. Get Lees back or Bruce to ensure we have cover

I too was impressed with a clip showing Erwin receiving a cross from the right with his back to goal the ball came across his body he swiveled and hit a left foot shot into the far corner. That was just a clip the difference with Pennington was he was seen for a longer period. He looked good.

So currently (and I admit this is being debated on ja) our starting back four against Bolton will be?? Ayling / Pennington / Cooper / Berardi

Would say so,with maybe Anita instead of Ayling or Berardi, which could see Ayling switch to a CH role.

Can you see Pennington come in just to be on the subs bench, why would he bother? And we have no left back as things stand.

No, long term I see him instead of Cooper.Berardi and Anita are both good left backs, but would like to see another still come in.

Huge call by the management team that puts them under pressure now to start well, particularly the keeper, which I'm presuming will be the german as the new coaching team's pick.

Why the assumption that Silvestri is #2?

That's actually what I was hinting at. My conspiracy theory has young Double-Barrell being pulled out of the Oldham deal to be our #2. Not so sure that's clever, but it's a theory! :D

Because he's not good enough to be #1

Too early in the morning for hints - need it wrapped around a brick until more coffee is drunk. But yes Double Barrell by all accounts is too good to have not made the cut at Oldham so bringing him back due to developments may be not far from the mark. e.g "Felix is #1 Rob", and Rod deciding he wanted to go as a result.....
