Anybody had to do this? I've been tasked with contacting a cross section of our clients to test a new database tool that we are launching. The tool is a portal to our database that will allow them to view what we do for them (and will allow them to interact with our systems to provide updates etc). I'm looking for any examples of how best to approach this... Has anybody been involved in such a project where you are asking client to test something new?
I got asked to test ride a hooker in the local brothel once <chippy beats Monaco to the whore joke for once smley>
I got asked to test some buttplugs for a company 15 years ago, I still haven't found one that's suitable for the open market though. Anyway, upwards and onwards
I've done similar in a previous job, we invited companys in for a breakfast meeting and setup a load of laptops. No presentation, trying to keep it as informal as possible, encouraging discussion, and then instead of giving them evaluations at the end of the seminar. Use surveymonkey and send them an evaluation after they have left with a random entry winning £25 M&S vouchers. You will get a better idea of what they think of your product if your not standing lurking over their shoulder.
I suggest that you hire out a residential catering facility designed for business and throw an early morning breakfast meeting, as that is when people are most ameanable to a sales pitch. Bore your delegates to death with your 85 slide ppt presentation. Sit by the phone anxiously and wait for it to ring.
