It's him, season long loan. I'm never sure about inexperienced centre backs and i wouldn't have thought he would be loaned out to sit on the bench so let's hope we got this one right <ok>

Pennington now all over social media, hes actually at TA and looks like medical time. This one shows ambition so hope we are signing him rather than a loan but great loan move anyway.

Apparently last nights game was to see if Antonnson could fit in as a right winger. Seemed to be on that side but didnt think he was fantastic but he had more control than Sako and knows how to square it, so maybe?

Bucks we have both seen kids at 16 in the first team for top sides, but today UK kids struggle and go out on loan. Remember Townsend, Bannon, the other 2 Spuds midfielders that ended up at Hull. I think we may have a future England center half on our hands and when you see the center halves at Everton the past few years he must be good

I saw Pennington on TV I think it might have been the Liverpool derby and I was very impressed. I'm sure he will be a good signing for Leeds.

Bartley Pennington has a ring about it. Not twins, no, but a younger version of a guy we will miss this season. However PENNINGTON is like Woody was without the injuries. Even Rio said he has a huge future

Pennington a very calm and assured young talent ... Everton will loan him to us to progress his development in a high pressure atmosphere so good for all ... Elphick a bit over rated, not close to Bartley as a defender ... with Pennington coming we need one more CB

Pennington has been tried at CB and at RB - predominantly in League 1 - Not great in either position tbh, but good cover for injuries!!

Lets hope so. Divided opinions from Everton fans, bright future maybe but let's hope he's ready now. Unlike me to be so pessimistic but Bartley has big shoes to fill in that position

Everton fan I work with reckons he's way down the pecking order and that the two defenders that they have loaned to Sunderland (Galloway and Browning) are their future stars!!

Can't see him getting in front of Cooper at CH or Ayling at RB tbh - So should be cover <ok>

Fingers crossed but... Leeds 60 watched Erwin for one game on TV and he too was going to be the next Beckford/Chapman/Yeboah

That's why Leeds got Pennington because Grayson had first pick of all 3 <ok>

Afternoon all, I'm not too bothered about the first few friendlies, it's a bit of trial and error. If we had Monk still in charge and 3-4 new faces I would have been more concerned. Tommy is starting from scratch so there will be a lot of positions and players tried out.

This Everton lad, if we were signing as someone for the future great but surely we need more experience at CB when you think this is a replacement for Bartley it is a bit of a worry.

I think, tbh, that Bartley was a genuine one-off at our level, and it's unlikely you'll ever get someone of his calibre on loan in the Championship for a long, long time. Basically, we struck lucky, and if we're expecting his replacement(s) to be of the same standard, then we're in for a huge disappointment. Remember, the Bartley we started with wasn't nearly as the Bartley that left us. That's why we got him.
