Everything else aside, it's an excellent signing. A nice positive story too with him coming back after playing such a massive part in our history 9 years ago. Whenever we've been linked with him before I've always hoped it'd come off mainly for that reason. Just a shame the rest of the club can't sort itself out. How ace would it be if the Allams had already ****ed off and this summer was going as planned and Campbell was coming back to spearhead our promotion push back to the PL.
I've said this all along. I fully remember from the time that when the HDM were giving it 'he'll sign in days, it's all but complete' etc that Humberside bulletins continually said 'our sources still maintain the Campbell is not interested in signing for the club'. He didn't lie and he didn't **** us around or get greedy, he just didn't want to sign for Phil Brown.
