Totally agree with that fella! The cash bandied around for Carroll is mind boggling and Liverpool may have viewed B£nt as a safer bet at 2/3 the price.

Still love the fact that he stuck in a transfer request tho after all the stick we took over B£nt, but in fairness a few of you have taken your medicine with good grace........ It makes fishing a bit more difficult (but more rewarding).

That's exacta;y what I said in my comment, If Newcastle have proved anything in the last 20 years it's that you only get good players if you chuck money at them or stepping stone players. Gyan, Sessengnon, Ben Arfa, Jose Enrique etc. etc., won't be here much longer! The North-East is a barron land for the high rollers that are modern day footballers!
