It's starting to feel like Grayson is an ideal appointment. The fact he's even got Lens having a go is a grand sign. For all the opposition has been low quality we are smashing the goals in preseason all looks a hell of a lot less depressing.
Strikes me he's done what many have failed. Cleared a lot of the ****, negotiated proper fees, refused to be bullied (Fenerbache/Lens springs to mind). He might be a godsend. **** me we need someone with some teeth and balls in there.
I've liked him since day 1. I like thr way he has died the knee situation. He's give us a steel that we've not had before
I criticised him on the back of information I had from Scotland, where he was perceived as a bit of a joke, but so far he is doing a sterling job in the transfer market, keep going Martin boy, and I will enjoy this particular bit of pie.
If the money in this is right then this is fantastic business: http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...for-aiden-mcgeady-and-james-vaughan-1-8649075 £500k up front for Vaughan and £250k for McGeady? Snip by today's standards
Mags just signed. Jacob Murphy for 12m, similer amount of goals and assist as Mcgeady last season only 48 times the price Yeah this lad has age on his side but I really think it highlight what a bargain we've got here.
Must admit I've never heard of him. Not to say that means anything but £12m for a kid in the Championship is a lot of money.
Same here, if they want goals from him they won't get many (just been looking at his wiki) but who knows maybe he's mint at everything else. I wouldn't be surprised if that was a large chunk of their budget gone.
Just compared him with McGeady on squawka and they very similar across dozens of stats(Mcgeady beating him in most parts). Tried to chat about it on the mag board but Albert went straight into arsehole mode. Complete social ****** as ever.
Wouldn't have bothered wasting your time typing and having a reasonable discussion. He'll be Englands next big thing now then is he?
I'd expect McGeady to have better stats. He is probably a better player (and he should be). I suspect the price is reflected in contract duration left and the fact Everton wanted rid of McGeady and Norwich wanted to keep Murphy. Regardless, you certainly did get a cracking deal. Let's see if he turns out for you.
