It's been such a slow build up to this season with it being several months later than it usually airs. I've almost lost my excitement about GoT. I'm sure that will change when I'm sat down and the opening credits begin tonight. Don't forget those spoiler tags people! Spoiler Everyones going to die
I watched the whole box-set relatively recently, and watched Season 6 Episodes 9 & 10 (best episodes) yesterday to get in the spirit.
Just never got into GOF. I tried 3 episodes, but just couldn't get into it. I have binge watched other series to get up to speed (Walking Dead 6 seasons and all of Breaking Bad), but GOF just never grabbed me.
I saw the first two programmes , really must get into it , as I paid for the first 3 series on Blu-Ray .......
I watch the walking dead too but think GoT is better! There's much more to it. I usually say to people that have watched a couple eps, but haven't fallen for it, to give it the first series. If you still don't like it after that, then I just don't understand you and we should never talk again
Me neither. I can confess to my mate showing me a 3 or 4 minute clip of some rather naughty bits, in an attempt to make me watch it..... I only needed the first couple of minutes of that
GOT, Breaking Bad, Madmen, XFiles, Twin Peaks, Law & Order, CSI: Wherever, Stargate... Nope.! I'd rather do something than watch. Funnily enough, there are some TV series I could watch all day, if I let myself. But I don't. I did like The Simpsons, Seinfeld and South Park. All comedies beginning with 'S'. But hey, I liked Star Trek too. I did get into Black Sails for two series, but then gave up. I'm just not manacled to the TV, so it stays off most of the time, and series get a hard time if the episodes are dependant upon each other. An exception is Poldark, but that's it. I do like a good film though, and might watch The Manchurian Candidate [2004] later. I'll do a BN on it, if I do.
I have a rule of not starting to watch series that I expect to go on for ever....or until the next best thing comes along. I like series where either each episode stands alone or stories are in 4-8 episodes. Too often series start by being interesting, but then deteriorate with no thought to a proper ending. So I'd rather watch Fargo than Lost.
With reference to the new lady Doctor Who, I saw a cartoon, today, with a Dalek saying "exfoliate". Tickled me.
