I agree its what happens in the ring that counts and a boxer would tear apart a ufc/mma guy

I used to love boxing but don't bother with it as a sport now. Know a few boxers mind . Joshua looking to become Muslim it seems

I know why mate and it isn't what people think.

Don't be surprised if the return match is in the octogon if this one gets the numbers

Not a chance Mayweather would be daft enough to do that.

I think the box office price put on this fight will see it bomb personally.

You're a mad man, Dana White would never sign the fight off.

    You don't know anything sorry.

I'll run around town with my knob out if Mayweather decides being murdered is worth it.

Im not sure now. I did think so when I saw the prices being banded around for ppv etc

But this is why I hate boxing now, it's for those who haven't a ****ing clue. What I mean is all the boxing fans I know are not bothered with this fight but the dweebs are hyped.

Dana white didn't want to sign this fight off until he himself said "then I saw the money involved and couldn't say no"

Do you think MacGregor is thinking of anything past the money?

I'm a massive boxing fan, but this bout holds no interest to me whatsoever.

Boxing is always to a large extent about the purse, but this contest only has one boxer in it......

Which is what I am saying mate. This isn't about the boxing fans. It hasn't been about the boxing fans for a while.

There is a whole new audience in some sports now. They will pay big money to go to events and take selfies

Dana is worth a ****ing mint and that sport is only heading in one direction, it's a juggernaut and putting a potential piss-take of a fight on hosted by UFC would probably soil the image.

If FMJ walks into a knee to the face and ends up with a life-changing injury, all of the fingers are going Dana's way because he's put an amateur in the octagon with a world champion, FMJ has no idea how to defend himself in an octagon.

That fight will never happen, unless FMJ trains BJJ and he's not doing that at 40.

    I disagree mate.

I think the Eddie Hearn bills have been great for boxing. Very strong undercards and some great headline contests. The Joshua / Klitchsko bout was one of the best fights in decades.

Have you seen the figures involved in this fight for the fighters alone?

What did Mac make before £3m a year or something?

This is all about money and mayweather getting his 50-0. I know that.

It's interesting to me, because I'm a massive fan of both sports. We are putting one of MMA's best strikers in with the king of defence in boxing. Nobody gives Mac a shot but that makes the viewing all the better, we have an underdog and a potential upset. It's Hollywood for sure, but give me that over Klitschko v Fury 2 any day of the week.

I didn't even bother watching that fight tbh. Heavy weight division has been rank IMO for a while.

He'll get completely schooled mate, his only chance is that he somehow manages to catch the ring rusty 41 year old Mayweather with a pot shot.

That's why Dana White has signed this one off though, because it's in a boxing ring. There's no chance in hell he's signing off a fight for an amateur athlete to be brutally, ruthlessly attacked in his UFC brand.

Agreed, under queensbury rules he's got next to no chance, but he's in his head and if you can do that we all know what can happen.

Bellew got inside Haye's head, this is an even bigger stretch than that, but add to that the fact that there's no way Mac's turning up with anything orthodox it makes it Hollywood. I'll take that, I wouldn't pay daft money to watch them in Vegas but for £20 or whatever it is, booze up with the lads round my gaff... why not?
