Kent was Barnsley's player of the year last year and Pennington scored in a Merseyside Derby, I'd hardly consider them untried.
It revolutionary putting a defender in goal that is better on the ground than saving shots is the way Pep is going at Man City. Great forward thinking.
Still rookies - to go with the many other rookies that appear to be very much a part of our first team.
Looking very bleak....but I'm sticking by my guns and not getting overly down/concerned/worried until the window is shut! Ehab it's do or die time....he won't do it for the good of the club, let's hope he does it atleast for his own selfish reasons of getting the club back in the Prem so he can sell up for more £££
Obviously, I want to watch the best players play, but if I turned up and the U17's were playing I'd still be there supporting the team. Leo said in his most recent interview that he knew he had to sell before we could buy, someone else mentioned that this could be a good time to start again (get rid of the old faces) well it looks like this has happened. He's brought in one loan, another 3 due today, I'm in no doubt that he has been working behind the scenes to get his permanent targets in, just because nothing has been leaked doesn't mean that it's not happening. The transfer window closes in 45 days, I don't buy into 'the players need time to gel' they're professional footballers the principals of the game are the same, just a different direction from a different manager. Have you ever moved jobs (doing the same line of work) and haven't been able to do what your new manager wants you to do, admittedly, there is a small adjustment period but you soon pick up the way they work. I may be gullible in my thinking, but either way I'll still be attending to watch the football. This doesn't mean I'm supporting the Allams.
I went to my first city game 63 years ago and have supported them ever since but I wouldn't describe myself as on the fanatical side, just a long term supporter. But I'm out I'm afraid, they finished me off when my grandsons season pass for the same seat went from £80 to £456. Explain the logic behind that. Please don't tell me I can get cheaper tickets sitting elsewhere in the stadium, I'm a customer I should be able to choose where to sit, especially when I had been in that seat for years.
Perhaps he's being smarter than we're all giving him credit for. He may have looked at the opposition - possibly the strongest Championship ever - and come to the conclusion that promotion is practically impossible so they only way to get some money in issell every ****ing asset we have.
This is on the HDM website this morning. Ryan Kent unlikely to join before tomorrow While the Tigers are interested in signing the winger, Kent has travelled to Hong Kong with his Liverpool teammates to take part in the Premier League Asia trophy. Therefore he is unlikely to sign before tomorrow’s game against Bristol Rovers.
Alan Nixon has said that apart from the difficulty with Ryan Kent currently being away in Hong Kong, there's the added complication of Leeds now also being in for him.
Who the hell are all these people? Brannagan? On loan at ****ing fleetwood last season, this season has got relegation written all over it if this is the market we're in.
I think the Brannagan one is rubbish, they just saw a player who might be leaving Liverpool and threw in a list of clubs who need signings as being interested, it was a highly speculative article.
This is going to be a massive problem for city as things stand with the going on re players , as soon as another club shows interest in any of our targets, they be off like a shot to that club, and who could blame them, i honestly starting to believe that one of the next departure's could be Slutsky himself, the man did not sign up to be, putting it bluntly, shafted without any foreplay by the owners.
The alarm bells started ringing during Slutskys first interview for me when he said '5 loans signings is alot but sometimes i think maybe it's not enough because we need more than 5 players' Or something along those lines. These clowns have no intention of spending any money.
Could not agree more, I packed it in until the current owners have gone before the commencement of last season. I went to my first reserve team games around 1949 at the age of four years. Hopefully I can again become a real supporter in my lifetime.
It's a shame to read that but I fully support your stance. The difficulty is I can't see any situation in which Allams will sell while we have parachute payments guaranteed. Is that 3 years still? Also do parachute payments change / stop should we be relegated again?
