Well i am sick and tired of hearing all of you lot going on about who we should sign. You are talking that we need quality, and tbh i don't deny that in some areas we do need a bit of quality, but who would you honestly sign? As quality costs you millions, and we don't have that. But is there any good players out there that i have missed, as i sincerly doubt we will see any major changes, a maximum of three players will come in.

So all you who want signings who would you sign?

It stands out like dogs balls that we were not in for a play-off position this season so (imo) the intention was to secure our position in the Championship.
If Mr Allam plans to extend the stadium (or build a new 35,000 capacity one) then he will need an entirely new team as NONE of our current players are capable of playing at EPL level.
This will only eventuate when Mr Allam has come to the necessary arrangements and only then will the money be made available to bring in the quality players required.
The big question is WHO would come and for HOW MUCH!?
We have a file a foot thick of players we approached when we were in the EPL who said "Thanks, but No Thanks"!
I cannot see us signing quality players for some time yet and there are the aforementioned obstacles to overcome first.

its a hard one to answer, as we dont have the exact figures avilable that we have to spend, and we arent privvy to the information of exactly how much players cost..also we dont have time to watch dvds of players and go scouting reserve games etc to go see whos about we may not of heard of.....
players ive seen on the free agents list recently who id like are koumas and mcfadden...both may have been snapped up by now, i arent sure, but they where available a few weeks ago..

Koumas would be the preferred choice but someone like that will only be approached when Jimmy's wages are gone

Marcus Hahnemann on a free, not some young inexperianced lad from Liverpool whos learning his trade, Dont mind a loan player in an outfield position but not in one in a pivotal position as goalkeeper, i Know people will point towards Manonne but that was a gamble too one which luckily paid off.

If were stating as NP did that we want to be up there challenging we need experiance in positions such as these.

"...we want to be up there challenging ..." I think you ll find he was trying to sell season passes and presumably keep his job. i d suggest what he was really saying was "... i want to get through this season with as much success as we can bearing in mind the resources to hand. ..." Next season will be make or break for him I reckon

I agree about next season Mussie, But if he's going to invite pressure onto hiself just to sell season passes, then so be it.

I find it funny that nobodys really asking why Cairney wasnt playing after his Ipswich performance.

Groin strain i read somewhere. Dunno the ins and outs. However, even if we did ask they won't tell us the exactly what's going on behind the scenes in fear there'd be mass ****in hysteria, like there is whenever the doom and gloom brigade get together.

Mussie, I'm only repeating what others have said. That's both grandparents and his mother who different people have said.

Whoever it was who sadly passed away I can understand why he didn't play

Back on to the original topic, I still think we need to bring in a centre half and and a player who can create. Whether that's a striker or attacking midfielder, I don't know, but it's glaringly obvious that scoring two goals in four games isn't good enough from an offensive point of view.

My guess is that we'll dip into the loan market again for an attacking player, and we might look to a loan or free transfer for cover in the centre back field.

Hahnemann, Jlloyd Samuel, Koumas, Mcfadden. All freebies so that side of funding isnt an issue and i can't see wages being too drastic for the first 3, recon Mcfadden was on a few bob at birmingham but would all be quality acquisitions to the squad, obviously B*****d must go first.

Jlloyd Samuel was poor alst year in this division as was Koumas, Cardiff fans where slating him all the time. Mcfadden is still in talks with Everton, so doubt he will go anywhere but the PL.....

But this thread shows how little there are players out there, i know we don't have hours to go scouting as DJ pointed out, but if we have no money we can all look through the PFA list of free agents and agree there is not much better out there.

All four of those are passed it.

Surely we should be looking at the likes of a cheeky loanee. Someone like a Sunderland centre back (Killgallon - or has he gone to Donny again?)

Also not sure how far down the list Mike Williamson is at the Mags?

The GK is the biggest priority though. We either stand by Gulasci and give him the confidence to develop or give Basso a shot.

Craig ***an has recently said to Mark Oxley on twitter: 'Surely the manager must give you a chance soon'. Bit of a dig at NP or could it be a valid point?
