    Norwich fan in peace...................

Hi guys, early days I know but based on the 3 league games so far, having lost, won and drawn 1 how do feel the season is going to be from what you have seen? Will mid table be satisfactory or are you hoping for more of an impact?

You always want to hope for more but all things considered mid table wouldnt be a disaster. Seasons only started, I usually don't judge performances until about ten games in

No reason why you should not have a reasonable season - I don,t think you are the worst team in the division by a long chalk.
I think what will be concerning the management at Pompey is the miserably low number of people going through the turnstiles. Less than 14500 for what really amounts to a local derby is beyond belief

That's normal for August. It is holiday time after all.

I agree attendances have been pathetic for a while - cue people moaning about ticket prices.

If this league were a horse race; I suspect a stewarts inquiry with a photo finish when they cross the finish line.

£25/£27 for a Tuesday night in August? I'm surprised that many turned up...

Not too much to ask really. Some Pompey fans need to start showing their support. Our attendances are pretty embarrassing compared to them lot down the road.

Quite hefty IMO, especially as it was our second game of the week. Luckily I'm still a junior (just) so its not too bad.

Reckon when we have 2 home games on a Saturday & Tuesday the club should do buy 1 get 1 half price. Doesn't happen too often, and would probably increase attendances.

Anyway, performance was a lot better. We're improving & looked like we can compete last night. Safety still the aim, but I'm confident of doing better than last season now

I know Pompey have had some real serious problems in the last few years but has it really come to this?

Mid-table would be fine for me ThaiCanary, until we have achieved total stability as a football club <ok>

We have a thin squad- our first aim should be to stay up. Hopefully we can do that nice & easy, and crack on with finishing as high up as possible :)

It was "holiday time" at Southampton when Leeds turned up. Still 26000 in the stadium

To be honest, you have to actually leave your home city for it to really count as a holiday...

A pathetic & feeble thread - if that,s the best you can offer I suggest you take up tiddly winks. Interesting to note the Portsmouth Evening News fail to publish attendance figures. Perhaps they are as embarassed as you clearly are.

It's called a joke. You of all people should be familiar with the term seeing as you are seen as a bit of one.

Leave your name at the door on your way out...
