Robbie to Liverpool for £8m is crazy, A current young international with many years at the top left in him going to a top six club with many others apparently interested. Why wasn't an auction started?
Huddlestones comments in this interview are telling. Last time we went down he says we lost James Chester and Robbie Brady but managed to keep the rest of the squad together but this time 'it looks like being different'. He was nice as he could be about the youngsters as he would be, or maybe I'm just a sceptic...
Dodgy were the mafia types are concerned.. Disclaimer...I have no idea if any mafia types are involved and any reference to mafia is not based on any fact. What I do know is that rehab is so arrogant and frankly aloof from reality he could feasibly do anything and the more people call him names the worse he'll be.
Because there aren't many other teams interested. Burnley wouldn't pay the £8m and bought Taylor, Watford are meant to be keen but no bid. I'm delighted for Robbo, Liverpool is a phenomenal move for him, actually playing is another thing though
I live less than half a mile from Ehab. I thought WWIII had broken out a couple of hours ago. At first I thought it was a farmer. Then I decided that it was fireworks, even though it was pissing down. It could have been a mob hit.
We all knew Robbo was going eventually, I'm surprised we held on to him this long. He's a quality young player who will represent a real bargain at £8m of that I have no doubt. He will flourish playing in a confident team surrounded by quality players and take that next step in his progression which he'd never be able to reach at a club like ours.
You might, I ****ing don't - Enob and his old man, because don't think for one moment he is doing this without reference to Pappa - are ****ing raping our club. ****s.
On a day Kyle walker goes for 50m , we sell Robertson for 8m ! It would make it better to take if we actually got decent fees , we get shafted pretty much every transfer
Although all logic says Slootman must have got cast iron assurances........what's the book on him walking, as I can see it happening. How the **** is he going to get in 8 or so players, let alone the 12-14 he's going to need. please log in to view this image
No truer word has been said. For all his failings and the name change rubbish Assam's running of the football side was fairly good. How much of that was down to Chapman I don't know.
Say we get £40 million from the sale of players this window with between £5 and £10 million off the wage bill. That will be enough to pay off about half the Allam's debt. Next season with no promotion, no high earners and the final year of the parachute payments they would be lucky to pay off half the remaining debt, leaving them £15 million in the red. On the other hand £40 million would give Slutsky a transfer budget of close to £50 million if the wage bill is similar to last time we were in the championship. Promotion means he has a better chance of selling the club, if they want to, and making a profit. We don't have to wait long to find out which road he'll pick.
His release clause has been triggered and he's now able to leave and he will, because we're a car crash, so I added it on the basis that it's a forgone conclusion.
Agents will be all over this...."oh you've got half a squad and you need players? Here's my exhorbident fee and players' wages!" May as well leave our pants around our ankles permanently!
