The parachute payments would just about cover the cost of running Hull City if we didn't sell anybody. The money from the membership scheme will be significantly down from the last time we were in the Championship for two reasons. The first is obvious, the second is the reduction in the cost of the season membership for most adults. If we are to strengthen the squad we need to get the high earners off the books and cash in our saleable assets. Whether this is what Ehab is going to do or whether he's going to grab the cash we'll know at the end of the window. Not too long to wait.
Well we've already cashed in 20 million Obi..... add another £10 from today if true Robertson and Huddlestone plus their wages... so I think you might have your answer already...
Robertson i can understand he is young and obviously has the chance to go to a much bigger club, hudds and others i cannot see them being able to take us back up and then play PL again.
Who has gone for £20M? I am probably missing something here...... We sold Maguire for 12 rising to 17 with add ons, Davis for 500K then Tymon who we have no idea on what pittance we will get....... who else so far? Not being a clever t... just cant think....
I suppose it depends what values you believe in completed transfers but the total is moot ... its the principle of what theyre doing...
McGregor Aina Dawson Meyler Mason Evandro Hernandez Dio That's who I realistically see us starting the season with. We are ******!
Other clubs are managing ok. There will be no ****er left to buy by the time Ehaw gets his arse in gear.
Ehab is an attention whore who loves to do transfer windows dramatically. He likes all the last minute media circus. The guy has an inferiority complex and likes to demonstrate this by getting a massive hit of last minute drama. The guy is deluded and thinks he runs the club like Ajax, Southampton or Bournemouth. He creates these videos in which he starts to believe his own lies and exaggerations. He's uses football hipster words like philosophy because he thinks it makes him look like he knows what he is doing. Truth is the guy, even though he doesn't realise it, is out of his depth. He clearly cannot structure a decent contract together otherwise we wouldn't lose our players for piss poor sums. He sells off out best players for way below the market value, gradually disassembles a squad of decent players. Partially out of spite to the fans and partially because they are were part Bruce's regime, which he resents. I'm sure some signings will be pulled out of the bag but there is never ever a sense of urgency. Always last minute. No understanding that new players need time to settle in and this isn't FIFA. Without selling a single player we needed around 8 players bringing in. We now, although it won't happen could do with 10. With at least 3 likely to still go that would be 13 signings needed. Which isn't going to happen.
If it was as simple as - no one wants to pay £100m so we will recoup our £80m gift and sell for £20m, that's probably ok. It's more likely - no one wants to pay £100m so we will recoup our £80m gift and sell for a bargain price of £50m.
