Jermain Defoe just broke down when he was asked about Bradley Lowery at his Bournemouth unveiling. Sounds like the poor kid's suffering is nearly over. I hope that the football world made his short life a little bit more tolerable.
Klinsmann joins Hertha Berlin ...that's Jonathan Klinsmann, son of Jurgen and goalkeeper for the USA U20s. That's odd, Sportskeedia just offered me a job.
Giancarlo Gallifuoco has joined Dover Athletic on a one year deal after his deal with Torquay expired. Jack Barthram is on trial with Aldershot Town following his release by Cheltenham. Meanwhile, here's an article on Cameron Lancaster: http://www.planetfootball.com/nostalgia/story-young-spurs-debutant-never-played-club/
Jack Barthram played for Aldershot last Friday against Brentford, and his trial was ended the following day !
Good article regarding Lancaster and good to see he's still playing after his injury woes. Smashing lad with a commendable attitude.
Stories like that of Cameron Lancaster IMHO makes it imperative that the kids have proper financial management done for them, rather than being allowed to indulge in immature and frivolous spending on meaningless things.
I like Keane but why did he do what he did with Liverpool ? Kind of ruined his legend status in my view. Was good for us though and for a couple of seasons was great.
Agree, but he was amazing for us - at a pretty barren time..... Some terrific goals in that collection.
Teddy Sheringham's taken the manager's job at Atletico de Kolkata...a team that seem determined to beat Real Salt Lake to the title of Most Point-Missing Club name.
