So we could be going into this season with a back four of Valencia (31) Bailly (23) Lindelof (22) and Shaw (22) That's a young back four, yet Mourinho is often accused of placing no trust in younger players. If we get Fabinho (23) and play the lad a RB, we'll possibly have the youngest back four I can remember, with some young competition too in Fosu-Mensah and Tuanzebe.
Mourinho doesn't get accusations for not using young players but for not developing them - will be interesting how many of the current youth team get into his sides in the future or if he will carry on just buying the players he needs instead.
He gets accused of not trusting them quite often mate. If we have a centre half partnership with a combined age of 45 next season then those myths are well and truly put to bed imo.

Aye, but City are over a barrel for homegrown players. They couldn't name a full squad last year cos they have no homegrown talent of their own, so they've had to buy in English players for the past few years as they can't squeeze any more overseas players in. The situation for them is even worse now Hart, Iheanacho and Clichy are gone, they pretty much can't bring in another non homegrown player without excluding someone from their squad. Clubs know they have no option to buy an overseas player instead, so they can put the price as high as they like.
