When I took my wife for her MRI scan, Tuesday, we were both surprised at the new building for PET scanning, that has sprung up at the back of the General Hospital. Neither of us knew what a PET scan was. Unfortunately, my wife will shortly find out, firsthand. Her latest MRI indicates that her cancer has returned, at the original site, and there are indications that her lymph nodes may also now be affected. The PET scan will take things to the next level and (if I have it right) a liquid injected into my wife will show up as a "colour" in areas where there is growth. There are certain areas where the colours will be expected, such as the brain, but if in unexpected areas, it could indicate cancer. Her oncologist, a really nice man, didn't sugarcoat it and has said that he believes it to be cancer, and, based on his experience of such matters, he is already organising a series of chemotherapy appointments, to begin after her next consultation, in 4 weeks. This doesn't signal the end. My wife reacted well to her previous chemotherapy treatment, and there is no reason why she shouldn't respond well this time. She's a fighter, although she is understandably low right now, because she hasn't been feeling poorly at all. She also doesn't want to lose her hair again. Not looking for sympathy. I am so glad that we have just returned from a fantastic two week break, in an area we love, so much. Live for today because you never know what tomorrow will bring.
Texans will soon be able to carry a whole host of new weapons, including swords, spears, daggers and more. The Lone Star state has passed a law that will allow residents to openly carry knives with blades longer than 5.5 inches, CNN reports. Texas Gov.
