More clubs involved the better really. We can just leave it another year and hope either of the big 2 Spanish clubs come in.
The only issue in leaving it a year is so much can change in football in a year, too many possible things to mention really. It is why, imo, players agitate for a move so quickly when it is a possibility as it may not come around again. We shall see how VVD plays it as we get closer to the end of the window or if a serious bid comes in from a team he wants to join.
I can see that VVD might fetch the same or more next summer, but my real reason for keeping him is that I want at least another season of him playing for Saints....he s true class and I feel cheated by losing him for half a season.* *Shoving it up Scousers' noses is of course always a consideration.
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/15409947.Redmond_valued_at_around___53m/ According to an algorithm based on prices paid, Redmond is worth 53 million and VVD 40 million. Nate is a good player, will get better and is important to us, but nobody would pay that price for him.
This is a real turnaround for us, but if they pick the right club for loans it should work out well. I know they withdrew one loanee (Gallagher?) because he wasn't being played.

Didn't sir les come out with a comment equating to us having the strongest midfield in the league last summer? If he still believes that we are in trouble. It's one paced and has no stand out player; everyone is much of a muchness and that muchness=average. (romeu emerging as the exception). Certainly there is potential for the future but we need to strengthen it for next season.
How can we be average and in trouble? I was taking the piss at the contradiction. Not sure there is a discussion to have over being average and in trouble.
I feel some fans welcome the yearly meltdown. If it fails to happen......we'll create one regardless.
Actually they were 2 separate sentences. If Les thinks we have an exceptional midfield then we are in trouble as he is vastly over rating our players and we may not recruit across the squad. Then (new sentence) my opinion is the midfield is average. You appear to have muddled 2 words into one sentence
We have one of the most exceptional CDMs in the league. We have one of the most creative wide players. We have an excellent set piece taker. I think you are confusing average with a season that was less than your expectations. They may be average, but there is reason to be positive. Why does him Thinking we have an exceptional midfield lead you to think we may not recruit across the whole squad?
Inference. If he thinks the midfield is that exceptional then probably by extension the squad for him is better than it is. I think he has done a fine job for us by the way but I wonder if he is thinking straight at the minute.
