Bugs me that the stripes on the kit were marketed as a nod to our history and all that ****e.

It's a template kit Sociedad is the same in blue. Knobs.

The whole template thing is taking the piss. Nike are the laziest this season, the lack in variation in the templates even on top clubs is shockingly lazy.

Do folk still believe the clubs have a say on their kits? :emoticon-0136-giggl

    Bone idle mate!

I mean it's no drama but then to charge what they do? Production and design costs are minimal surely.

Early birthday present for the lad (turns 29 tomorrow). Happy with these if fees are as low as stated although I'm sceptical...

Last I heard Everton wanted £4m for McGeady and Bury had rejected £900k for Vaughan... why would they suddenly accept £250k and £500k respectively?

It was on Sky earlier that the deal for Vaughan was £900k. Haven't heard the £500k figure mentioned, but the 2 figures aren't necessarily contradictory mate. Not with add-ons, etc, etc, etc.

Vaughan is for 900k with add ons fellla. Don't see the point in counting them as they're not always triggered. With McGready i suspect Nads has it spot on in saying some of the fee will be offset against the Pickford money. Possibly dropped an add on from the deal which would be a shame as I suspect he'll be one of the rare players to trigger all his add ons.

It's daft of them to claim that it's a "nod to the history" and then totally disregard said history with the solid red back, which (as far as I'm aware) has never been a feature of any Sunderland home kit.

It's a bit different for goodness sake..We have had virtually identical shirts year in year out, so it is surely good to try something different for once..

Grown men in their 50's wearing a 50 quid t shirt that cost pennies to make in some Far Eastern country like Vietnam where the workers probably get about a tenner a week. <doh>
I'll not be buying the bastard & fattening Shorty's wallet in the process.

I got a very nice polo shirt for nowt off the lass who works in the shop.
It's grey with grey checks on the chest & just the wee black cat on the left breast.
No tacky SAFC emblazoned all over it.
It's smart, size m & it fits spot on.
She gave me it because in her own words, her husband has turned into a fat bastard & it's now too small for him.
I really like it, not the usual ****e you get.
My son has even tried to claim it.
