While Bartley teamed up well with Jansson last season, Bartley made it clear he would only come back to Leeds if Monk was still the manager, which means he's basically saying he doesn't want to play for Leeds unless Monk is manager, which Monk isn't. Bartley may have the choice of Crystal Palace and a big wage in PL, his beloved Monk and a better wage than we offer, or Leeds United. I suspect it may well be one of the first two......

If he is why hasn't Ayling followed Bartley? All footballers make good friends on their travels, but good deals seem to be better friends Eccers....
I know, I don't know what happened, it showed I hadn't posted it, so did it again and it come up twice.....
If by some remote chance Bartley does pick Leeds, it'll be a double kick up the ass for Monk after we beat Middlesboro in our first game against them....
Im not doubting you LL, but where did he say that. It would have made headlines surely but I may have missed it. Players are not usually that loyal
Unproven manager unproven players if it all gels well mid table, if it all goes tits up relegation, there you have it
I seem to remember hearing something similar, had a check and this was the closest thing I found Bartley, now back at Swansea, has enjoyed a superb season in Yorkshire - chipping in with six goals - as the club narrowly missed out on a place in the Championship play-offs. The former Arsenal man had previously stated he would like to join Leeds on a permanent basis, if parent club Swansea allowed him, emphasising his relationship with Monk was key to that. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leeds-united-boss-garry-monk-13007628
As opposed to **** manager,**** team at millwall,if all gels 4th from bottom, carry on like friendlys, record low points bottom.there you have it.
Morning all. Can anyone remember without searching who Wilko signed before we won promotion ? There was Strachan as his captain and Chapman came in January but I seem to remember he signed quite a few in the summer and I can only remember Vinnie at the moment. I remember at the time thinking similar to now, that we seemed to be going for it that season but who'd did we sign and which ones were good and which were not so good.
