You don't attend and you don't watch Sky, I fail to see how you can have any reasonably educated opinion of any of our players. And you're not even qualified to validate such an opinion, evidenced in your total lack of positional sense. Forgive me for dismissing your 'team' as trying to be different look at me look at me bollocks.
What lack of positional sense - that other midfield positions exist other than centre or wing? Who knew the only way to watch City was in the flesh or on Sky? Someone should tell BT Sport and BBC that they've wasted a heck of a lot of money.
Of the current squad I'd play Jak Lenihan Aina Dawson Robertson Clucas Huddlestone Henriksen Evandro Grosicki (these three can alternate positions) Hernandez Bench Marshall/McGregor Elmo Meyler Bowen Batty Clackstone Diomande We really are just a centre back from a promotion contending first team. I also don't expect any of them to leave (bar hopefully 1 goalkeeper, any of our 3 are top level championship keepers). Not saying it won't happen but it isn't as guaranteed as people make out. Add to that the possibility of Mason.
Which part - the bit about watching City on BBC and BT Sport? Exposed how? I'm the one who has posted myself many times my reasons for not attending games. Or do you mean I've exposed myself?
When I have seen him play he's looked a decent forward only a slight kid but didn't let cb's push him around
I don't remember Batty or Clackstone playing for the first team, but I remember Olley. Grosicki has got to prove himself still. One main striker is worrying, and he will have some time off during the season anyway. Are you actually aiming for top 2, or just hoping Slutsky is so good that he'll manage to work that squad to playoff contention?
He hasn't scored in eighteen league games and most of them were in League Two. Obviously he missed all of last season through injury, but I was surprised we gave him a new deal.
I agree but I don't see the relevance. I haven't played a single video game for over a decade and I haven't owned a games console since buying an N64 in 1998. Indeed, I have never once in my entire life played a video game with 'real players' and their attributes and stats with which to judge them by.
I don't think top 2 is out of the question assuming we manage to add a centre back and a bit of depth. I've seen Batty a few times for the u23s and I like the kid. If he gets a chance I think he is good enough to take it. Everybody has at one point never played for the first team.
Unless we lose several more players, central midfielders from the youth team like Batty and Olley and unlikely to get much of a look in, it's the only area that we're not short of first team players.
