Settle down champion. We're having a conversation. Chris Wood didn't score 30 goals in a single season at any point. Not to mention you could easily accomodate two prolific strikers.
I'm settled Chris Wood scored 30 goals last season (in all comps I must say). And yes, we definitely could accommodate two prolific strikers but the formation we play wouldn't allow them on the pitch at the same time. My point wasn't that you don't have good players though. My point was more the fact that you genuinely need quality signings to replace the outgoing players and nothing has happened. There's no way you'd be going down again but currently that 11 that was put up before ain't getting ya promoted either (not to mention you're likely to lose a couple of those players). I wouldn't say Leeds are likely to be challenging top 2 either, more likely top 6 again and I'd say conclusively, as things stand we have a better first 11 than you guys do. Which seems very off for a team just relegated from the prem.
So he didn't score 30 in the league. You came on here claiming not to be a WUM, but you've already taken one shot at me and now seem intent on carrying on about how good your team is. Mission accomplished WUM.
ok mate, you've taken it the wrong way clearly. Where have I taken a shot at you?? Where did I say in the league? Why don't cup goals count to you? Regardless, Abel Hernandez scored 22 goals (in all comps, 20 in the league) in his best season which was two years ago. No reason he isn't capable of that again. Chris Wood scored 30 goals (in all comps, 27 in the league) last season and again there is no reason he isn't capable of that again. These are clear facts, but whatever, he still scored 7 more goals in the league. We wouldn't have him in our team over Chris Wood. This is completely beside the point I was making...
Huddlestone and Meyler would make central midfield for most Championship sides as would Grosicki. Also Ryan Mason - Not far from fitness would absolutely be a shoe in for midfield position for any team in the Championship.
I really don't think Huddlestone and Meyler would get into most top half champ sides at all. They are fairly average players who stand out in one attribute of their play but struggle in others. I don't know much about Grosicki but why was he referred to in that original post as Growshitski? And by all accounts he didn't do too much for ya last season. Really doubt he would get into many top half championship sides. Ryan Mason just ain't in that list of players I was talking about, and you don't know if he's coming back the same player. This is really besides the point anyway. I've heard your board has a reputation for nit-picking. That starting 11 ain't good enough, not even close. Your owners should be embarrassed by their transfer dealings so far.
Because that's how you pronounce Grosicki. He had something like 3-4 assists off the bench for us and his pace and skill constantly put backlines under pressure. Only a couple of posters on here have that reputation, but glad to know it's not an English trait in general.
As important as the players is the manager managing them. I've never even heard of yours Proof will be at the end of the season. I'm sure you probably said the same about Huddersfield Town at the start of last season.
How very dare you talk about our wonderful owners like this? The Allams are the heart and soul of our club. It's rare for a club to have such generous and caring owners in the game today, especially ones that care so deeply about us fans. Allams forever
What do you mean 'you're starting to get the impression?' He said this just after we got relegated. He couldn't have been any clearer that this is precisely what we're going to do.
Well im ever so sorry i missed that one from the boy blunder lol He also stated he'd identified transfer targets for strenthening two months ago so forgive me for originally thinking we may buy some players for the first team AND squad depth amd not use too many inexperianced youngsters
Kinell. You've now totally lost the plot. Slowest central pairing in the division (if not league). Never mind the fact that Huddz isn't a CD anyway (and should be first on the team sheet, in CM). Meyler and Bowen? Really? Dio? Not to mention that it won't be long before Daws is injured once again. We'll be lucky if he makes it through pre-season. Same with Hernandez. Or is it one massive woosh. Sorry to say, Josh LUFC is pretty much correct. Time for some to take their tiger tinted glasses of and to wake up and smell the coffee Enob and Slutsky have a lot of work to do before the window closes. Not just in terms of numbers but in terms of needing at least a handful of top quality additions for us to have any realistic chance of a promotion bid.
