If Utd want Dier and the player is open to a move, then they will get him.

Stones was supposedly about potential, although it hasn't quite worked out like that.

Walker is 4 yrs older and established.

I'm more upset that we've possibly strengthened a rival than anything.

£50m for stones was a massive gamble. £50m for walker is a fairly safe bet.

And yes, you've been weakened and at the same time strengthened a rival. Double whammy.

Not this year they won't!...unless MP & Levy agree. And then Utd would have to come up with an absolutely silly bid.

I think you should realise that money is nothing but not as thick as you.

I don't think we're massively weakened. He's one of the few players we could afford to let go without too much of a detrimental effect.

We'll see. Every player has his price. And if the Guardian is right in saying that Dier is open to a move on the back of meeting with Utd officials, then it could happen this summer. Money isn't really an issue to Utd. They spent £165m on Pogba and Lukaku.

They've sold a player for a shed load of money who isn't that good and they already have a replacement. Walker has had a few assists and 0 goals least season, he gets played with by anyone good and looks a complete chump. Good business by Spurs IMO. City are no better with him.

A Manchester paper ( surprise!) reported that Dier was keen on the move. A London source claimed he was happy where he was.

Usual bollocks. Agents planting stories, etc..

Again that remains to be seen. You've got Trippier who can play there, but you need depth in the squad to cope with the PL and CL.

I'm sure we'll sign somebody. Porto's Pereira is a name being put about. At a push, we have another Kyle Walker. This one with a Peters on the end. A member of the recent England U19's WC winning side. And one of its stars.

Who Spurs buy is most important neither Dier or Walker are that good. Buying upgrades should not be too difficult.

Disagree about Dier. And his versatility is a great asset too.

We've got a good prospect in that position, Kyle Walker-Peters (seriously), but I expect someone to come in.
Current rumour is Ricardo Pereira from Porto, who just spent two seasons on loan at Nice.
Is he good enough? ****ed if I know! <laugh>
