He's joining Man City for £50m, Overpriced and overrated in my opinion, I don't rate him at all, I'm not saying that because he's joining a rival of ours, I just don't rate him.

We're already talking about it in the transfer thread.

When will people accept that the price paid does not always represent the player's value?

He's ok, not a great defender but has some good attributes.

Obviously I wish him all the best under Fraudiola.

What does 'pverpaid' even mean to a club with endless money? They could pay £200m for him and it wouldn't make any difference to them. The same way spending £165m on Pogba and Lukaku could be seen as an absurd overpayment but makes no difference because United can afford it any money means little to them.

He's improved as a defender. And he's very quick going forward. Clearly Pep sees him as part of what he's trying to build at £ity.

I'm not exactly gutted to see him go. Not glad either. Just, meh!....good player for us, but not vital.

The best thing about this transfer is that HIAG's comment that 'Arsenal are City's feeder club' has come back to haunt him.

    Claiming WFU for this :)

Pep's smashed the £300m spending barrier I believe with this one. In around 12 months.

    That's what I thought!
He fits perfectly with Peps style, a fast offensive fullback.

Pep get's another Walker type on the left and that's seriously dangerous to play against. If they sign Mendy, their attack is going to be mind blowing at times.

They will concede fairly often though.

He's Alves-lite, he'll fit Pep's style but it depends on the squad if they blend together, last season was poor by City and Pep's standards.

He seems adept at getting players to buy into his system so I can't see too many problems, if that kid Jesus and Aguero stay fit then they'll be smashing teams for fun, not just the Bournemouth's and Brighton's either.

It's especially true because Walker's used to playing a high line and having to do a lot of work, almost being solo on the wing.
He's far, far more appropriate for Guardiola's game than any of the fullbacks that City had last season.
Mendy would also be a massive step up, as you've suggested.

Their centre-halve still don't seem quite up to it, though.
Probably spend another £100m there in this window! <laugh>

If they get Mendy and VVD then I can't see anyone topping that (on paper).

    Money ****ers.

    I thought they'd signed Ederson for 7000mil?
