That fella is holding an M16 US army assault rifle. (pretty **** really).

The UK use SA80. Also canny ****e.

Isis and most other groups use the AK47. Probably the best assault rifle ever made and virtually indistructable.

Always opt for the proper russian version, not the crappy chinese rip off.

Aye that sums it up perfectly.
SLR would have stopped an elephant.
SA80 dropped to bits on the assault course.

When I was growing up in the 60's if there was a piece of dog **** in the middle of the road (quite common then), the old folks used to say the Russians would have done that..

As for Putin selling AK47's to the Islamic mess, I doubt it, try the good old USA or the UK via Saudi, peoples pockets and careers are being lined..

Think of Putin and his Islamic preferences, there is no way he will be selling them to IS..

Blame the Russians mate, it will always be the same..<ok>

People adore dogs and become their pets after a while, they will never clean-up after them, more likely to have a **** next to them.. ;)

The UK doesn't sell Isis arms. It sells Saudi Arabia arms. Saudi's help fund Isis, they don't arm them. Isis use black market weapons, whatever they can get their hands on. Usually Russian given the area and history.

US and its allies namely UK, Israel and France are the biggest arms suppliers ISIS has right now.

A Politician, a TV Reporter and a British soldier were captured
    by ISIS.

They were as usual sentenced to death by beheading.

Unexpectedly, the ISIS leader said they could each have one last request
    before sentence was carried out.

The Politician asked to hear a rendering of ‘Keep the red flag flying here’.

The Reporter asked that the beheading be televised so that even when she was
dead her face would be on TV.

The Trooper asked to be kicked three times up the arse.

As the trooper's was such an unusual request ISIS decided to carry this out first, and as the last kick landed, the Trooper pulled
a hidden 9 mm pistol out of his smock,
shot three terrorists dead, grabbed one of their fallen AK47s and shot dead
    the rest of the terrorists.

The other two prisoners were amazed, and asked why he requested to be
kicked three times before drawing his gun.

"Because", said the Trooper, “when we get back to the UK I don’t want you
pair of arseholes saying it was an unprovoked attack

Well the area is awash with Russian weaponry due to historic Russian presence in the area. Russian war with Afghanistan is just one example of Russian presence in the area which has led to Russian weaponry being more common in the area. Then, you've got the soviet conflicts(Russia against former soviet states like Ukraine and Kazakhstan)

No country is officially selling ISIS arms, it's black market surplus they use which is why they'll use anything they get their hands on. Half the guns will likely be made up of the parts from many of the same guns.

    That`s cleared that up.

The point I was making about arms was that ISIS `inherited` quite a supply from the Iraqi army when they dropped everything and scarpered so just because they have some of the same weapons doesn't mean they have the same suppliers. They`ll take anything they can get from anywhere they can get it.
