Walker will almost certainly go if £ity pay Levy's price.

Dier is under contract until 2021. He'll only be sold if MP agrees to it. He's shown no sign of doing that so far.

If the player wants out though, then it changes the whole situation.

    True, to an extent.

However, in this case, its nothing but rumour. The player himself has said nothing nor made any transfer request.

    Or, there's nothing in it?

And agents always like to make a noise.

I wonder who'd we'd ask for in return in order to make the deal as unpalatable as possible for Man U (Martial and Fosu-Mensah)? Already asking City for Iheanacho and Sancho as part of the Walker deal, if rumours are to be believed. It's no good selling your best players to rivals who have money to burn, weakening yourself and strengthening them in the process. Let them give up something more tangible if they're that desperate.

Mostly true (Eriksen has performed well and Lamela has been ok). I'm hoping there's some lessons learned there and last summer too. It's no coincidence that the only player that worked out was the only one that had played well in the premiership. Everyone, apart from our management, knew that Sissoko was **** whilst GKN and Janssen were unknown quantities in this league. I think the current mindset is to bring in young players with premiership/championship experience.

The Guardian article claimed that Dier was 'open to a move' to Utd. But there are any direct quotes of his tbf

I doubt we'll let him go unless Utd offer really stupid money.

Looks like £ity are gonna pay up for Walker, though.

    Isn't £50m+ to City peanuts ?

I thought Levy would have got a better price as we all know City overpay

Perhaps Levy will get £60m for Dier from United as they also like to pay over the odds

50m for a defender that can't defend is not peanuts.

Yes, will he want to move away from his 'mate' Delle Alli.

Nothing but respect for those two coming out in a deeply homophobic industry.

I should think Dele Alli would be more upset by your misspelling of his name, than your groundless insinuations about his sexuality.

They paid 50mil for Stones last year. That makes the Walker deal look cheap!

True. Also given the crazy amounts being spent at the moment, £50m for a proven international right back, with the 'English premium' going to another premier league club, isn't a huge amount tbh

I said stupid money. As in a stupidly high bid.

    Otherwise he's going nowhere.
