Khazri & Lens both score again tonight, are they both... A. Playing well to impress Grayson as they intend staying and are ready to put a proper shift in this season. B. Playing well to impress suitors to enhance their chances of a move during this transfer window. C. They're being made to look good by the inferior opposition so far this pre season. I'd like to think its option A but am prepared to be disappointed. What do others think?.
There's no way on earth Lens will stay, he's far too good for the championship, shame as he'd tear this league up.
I'll never understand all this selfie ****. Winds me up when my own kids do it, but I guess that's the narcissistic world we live in today!
Khazri A with a smidge of B and Lens B with a pinch of C. Not sure how many scouts will be scrutinising Sunderland vs Livingston.
IMO... Khazri - A & B 50:50 Lens - 100% B C also applies to both but I do think they would both be very decent in the Championship if they put a shift in.
I think Khazri is a decent bloke who usually puts a good shift in, I reckon his good performances are nothing more sinister than him enjoying his football and having a built in drive to play well and win. Lens on the other hand is a lot more flakey, everyone knows he wants to leave but he has scored a couple of goals same as Khazri and you never know could be a Sunderland player this season with an improved attitude from the last. Seems like during his career players have always liked and respected Grayson and have wanted to play for him, maybe it's happening to these two.
There's an awful lot of hope in that last sentence Nacho. Gotta be honest though, I'd love that to be case. Can't imagine these 2 know too much about Grayson though tbh, and I can't see them trying to impress him if their intention is to leave. I'll remain unconvinced for a while yet.
All I've heard from his ex players is that they like him, must be a reason for it. I doubt Lens really gives a **** who his manager is because the Championship is 'beneath him' but Khazri might if he feels valued and is played in his best position by someone he gets on with.
Can't watch that and not be happy about the performance. Gibson nearly scored a worldly from a corner.
