Taa played well by all accounts. You can't beat an easy game when you can just attack to look good though... Weekend has another game. It will be interesting to see who keeps up with the pace. Tough schedule this year. Lots of games and intense local training camps
Just reflecting jurgen klopp s opinions of the guy. As i recall the rare occasion klopp used him were the fa cup run.... and a few times at 9pm or is coming on.
by the last third of the season even then it wasn't at LB. Worry we are waiting to offload him prior to buying a new LB.
From a balance persepctive id rather do that and buy on the team spine now.. if that's what we are at. We cant just have dead wood laying about. Lets face it we can throw moreno in cups this year and shrug...
true but thats the game..... imo we'd "make do" ok with a very very good central defence and central midfield but stuck with milner and moreno... but thats just me. If we have lovren as no 1 LCB and milner beside him i fear cl group will be embarrassing. The fact is we got 4th based on a very good first half of year but we blew up due to lack of depth. We can get by ok with our team but we can't expect to play twice a week most weeks in the first half of the year with our squad size now. I'd rather put up with moreno as a reserve at LB if klopp would actually use him than find ourselves with lucas at CB or CM again and not having any rotation possibilities.
Agreed - under no circumstances can we start Milner or Lovren next season. VVD is coming soon and I reckon Robertson is close as well.
We will see.... As i said if we got a strengthened spine but ended up not shifting moreno its not the end of the world but if we go in next year with exactly the same back 5 thats pretty much a disaster IMO vvd is out of our range unless saints want sakho and reverse their stance. thats my honest opinion on it as it stands. I'd not be shocked if we really did see FSG direct club to not pursue the target too.
err you don't spell Moreno like that . Robertson is just ok at best though may kick on with better players round him. VvD can't see it happening & if it does it will be horrifically expensive.
