he was good for an 18 year old and fast and strong but it was very very very clear he was completely one footed and struggled when pressed hard as he had to control on right foot so was closed off to play and could only pass back. If anything let him play RB or RB but he's just not an LB except in emergency. He will kill the tam going forward which is why a lot don't like milner there too. the ideal is a good left footed player to offer width and a good defensive nouse.

its not that he wasn't "that good" its just you could tell that he was never making a career at it. For a league 1 player coming into the prem at 18 he was pretty darned good in terms of pace, power and not being overwhelmed. IMO though sides figured out pretty fast you could press hard on him cos he had to control on the right foot so was always facing his own goal.
I like big but i have no predilection to african. thats klopp. I do like a guy to have a working brain cell too though.
