Footballleagueworld have recommended Freddie Haugen as a signing for us. Unsurprisingly, a CM. But he's done well this season. Tell Ehab then.
Bit of a diversion, but who was that young GK we signed on loan from Man Utd in the late 90s? Blonde haired kid, everyone thought he was mint.
I agree with all of that but £5m is a ****ing lot of money for a Championship goal keeper. I can see why they had no faith in Jak ( and I still haven't) and McGregor, if the rumours are correct is a bit of a twat, but my point is that the owners who are accused of not backing Bruce at the time, actually did, it was Bruce who wanted to be away and on top of that the club was on the verge of being sold. So under those circumstances it was still a bold move to shell out £5m for a keeper and they broke the club transfer record to bring Mason here who was another Bruce target. Kanu was a greedy bastard and wanted £100k a week a massive signing on fee, that's why he wasn't signed.
Just realised we have Josh Clackstone who had a very good loan spell at Notts County. Was he one of the youths in the first team at the start of the last omnishambles?
If you look at Bruce's signings and his overall player trading while he was with us, it's very good, he made a decent profit on all areas of the pitch, other than keeper and striker. We made a modest profit on Long, but we've done our bollocks on all the strikers he signed. Not entirely his fault, if the Andre Gray deal hadn't been ****ed up, he'd have had a decent one.
2011-12 Sunderland to Al Aim - £5.95m (loan fee) 2012-13 Sunderland to Al Aim - £6.36m (permanent) 2015-16 Al Aim to SIPG - £7.65m 2017-18 SIPG to Kayseripor - Free Sunderland basically recouped the original fee.
Assuming you mean his place off Creyke Lane, I think he moved out a while back, he bought somewhere else and rented it out.
He'd probably score a lot more if he a) wasn't played up front by himself all the time and b) stopped ****ing off to South America three times a season.
