considering we had mainly chumpionship level players that were trying to hold their own in PL...
we still have them same players, with the same abilities - it isn't like they have simultaneously all lost their ability and gone back a level to League 1 level.

Kanu wanted a massive signing on fee and about £100k a week. How many goals did he score for WBA ? was it one or two ? Powell was a flop at Wigan. We signed Marshall even though Bruce had also bought a keeper in from Slovakia or somewhere for about £1.5m towards the back end of the season and he never was never considered good enough for the first team and was eventually released on a free. Don't know anything about the Cameroon player. Bruce was waiting for the call from Villa all summer, then applied for the England job, which is hardly showing 'positivity and enthusiasm' for the job IMO.

Problem is, Derby can say the same thing to him, and like Davies he'll remember last summer and look at the similarities to what we've done so far this summer. Realistically why would any player believe that this season will be any better than last? He could surely be forgiven for thinking we're not taking this season any more seriously than last and won't be anywhere near promotion.

 

has Slut expressed any interest in any players?
he must be overall happy with what he has got, cos he has taken them to Portugal.
