No position at all with a DoF at a small time club. Still reckon Sherwood is a goer! Sorry, didn't really mean that.
I thought I mentioned Ramsey? I won't be too hard on him because he was given the job in good faith and they moved the goal posts by expecting promotion; plus he was inexperienced. He also lost some senior players which didn't help. I used to be a positive bloke until recent times watching the Rangers. Last season I thought it was like a bit of a chore going to the games. Re-employing 'Hollow' was a desperate move by TF to appease the fans. For me, he is a shocking manager. I know others think he is the messiah and we must not question his team selections or tactics (lack of them) but I really feel we are going to end up like Millwall under him. (by the way, he was voted their worst ever manager by fans)
Why are we not getting some loans in - Huddersfield got some very astute ones in last year - especially that Mooey. Someone that can defend please
Agree mate, Watford also got in a few that got them promoted. I worry that we are once again leaving everything very late only for the manager to moan that the team needs time to gel when results go against us.
No need to panic about transfers etc folks. Ollie has set up a players committee. 12/07 Ollie sets up players’ committee Paul Morrissey @PJMorrissey77 IAN Holloway has empowered the QPR players to be part of the decision-making progress by forming a players’ committee. There are six players on the committee, and Holloway is keen to add a seventh member. Nedum Onuoha, James Perch, Jamie Mackie, Matt Smith, Alex Smithies and Ryan Manning are charged with the task of discussing matters with the gaffer – be it disciplinary or training-related – and helping spread the message within the dressing room. “We have got a committee now who are actively involved in what we do and how we do it,” Holloway told www.qpr.co.uk. “I want their input. “There are six members at the minute, and I will soon be increasing that to seven. I want it to be an odd number so that when they vote on something, there’s a clear decision from them when I need it. “Other times, I will explain my decisions over certain matters to them, and they will go out and explain to the rest of the group. They will take on responsibility for that. “If there’s an issue, for instance a disciplinary matter, I will have that group in and explain what needs to be done and why it needs to be done. They can then explain my reasons for the decision I’ve made. “This helps the dressing room to run itself, to govern itself. I want them to be part of what I’m trying to build here.” Holloway also wants his squad to demand more from each other – and not be afraid to speak up for the benefit of the team. “When I came here as a player, I felt we got better as a team when we demanded more from each other,” he explained. “I didn’t care that Roy Wegerle was a wonderful passer and player. When he gave it away, he should be working harder to get it back. And that’s what I told him! Why should I work harder than one of my team-mates? That’s not right, is it? We should all work as hard as we can. “And that’s what I want the players to do here now, be demanding of each other, have expectations. “I did something similar at Blackpool – in the end, the dressing room ran itself and managed itself. If we had a lazy player, the lads would pull him, and let him know it wasn’t acceptable. At the end of the day, we are all striving to be the best we can be. “I want to create a culture that is self-perpetuating, and that’s something they can all be part of.” please log in to view this image
Brilliant! This'll sort everything. Even though I thought it was the managers job to 'run the dressing room' superb delegation by Ollie, you can put your feet up now mate! And great spot that you need an odd number to break deadlock in any of the important votes they will be making! Where to hold the Christmas party etc. Even better to exclude any non native English speakers from the committee. Any luck we can turn Ryan Manning into a mediocre jobsworth just like the other members of this group, let's hope their records of towering success and achievement have the expected influence. I am especially looking forward to someone giving a note to Pavel on the wing saying 'the committee says you must try harder' or to Sylla 'the committee requires you to score a goal'. FOR ****S SAKE. Excuse me while I bang my head against a wall for a couple of hours.
Brilliant by 'Hollow'! Now he can really say "it's not my fault"! Seriously the quicker this muppet goes the better.
Funny how you single me out when others have basically stated the same. I am sorry if you believe Hollow is the Messiah but we are all entitled to our views.
I don't think he's the messiah & I am concerned about my club, yes you are entitled to views but if you've said it once you've said it about 100 since & I do understand your concern, but do you have put in every time you add a comment!
Agree it's boring but I am just down at the moment Re QPR. Nothing seems to be positive from the club
I'm not getting the line-ups for the friendly with Fulham today. Holloway said he wanted these competitive games for the players, yet we have no potential first-team squad players playing, while Fulham are certainly putting out some first team players (as I would have expected us to do - not even Scowen who reportedly had to catch up with his fitness. Unless the squad has left the country for pre-season - anyone know? Fulham: Rodák, Fredericks, Sigurdsson, Djaló, Ream, Cisse, Christensen, O’Riley, Aluko, Ayité, Woodrow. QPR: Dieng, Kakay, Williams, Comley, Paul, Finney, Tilt, Rowe, Emmanuel-Thomas, Eze, Darbyshire.
Glad l wasn't the only one thinking likewise. Talk about the blind leading the blind. Dam, l hate being so negative, especially with a new season almost upon us but with the little that is coming out of the club seems to be more smokescreens and the frustration in me in starting to build. Why is it we fans can see another season littered with a 'comedy of errors' and the owners, cannot?
please log in to view this image This will end up being like marching up and down the square. Committee meeting: So we are playing Reading today, anything else you players would rather be doing? EDIT: Running up and down the hill...
