I know it's worth repeating Beef, but it's hardly a revelation. It's been doing it for about 25-30 years, just that the dying only became obvious to the general media at most about 10 years ago. Saying that, nature will adapt. But it will take a while, and the heat budget of the planet becomes greater, faster than nature can do it so far. However, where there is a niche...
There's a joke in there somewhere........where's FLT? A vegetarian, a large lady and an oil of widgeter walk into a pub..........
Going to be a long night . Jasper has to go to the vets tomorrow , and we have to starve him and keep him in . So yours truly will have to put food down for Purdey & Toby . Also let them out when they wish to do so ..........
We used to have a cat called Purdey! She was a pregnant stray that turned up one day so we called her Purdey short for Perdita which means lost. She soon moved in and we had her for 18 years. A dinky little thing. Good luck with Jasper.
No . We only have a little semi detached bungalow , and they have the run of the place . God only knows what damage they would cause if we locked one in a room
Mrs Jasper got purdey before she met me , she's called purdey because she purrs a lot . Now she is older (18) she just shouts
The world keeps moving on and I think the majority of us are lagging behind. What can you or can't you say on facebook, twitter or internet forums? Comedians seem to be exempt. Facebook has literally millions of rascist / sexists posts from organisations and yet individuals are being prosecuted under new laws. I've no idea what the law is?
Well that was interesting , proves how active cats are in the night . Both wanted letting out 6 times . Not had much sleep . Now just to get Jasper to the vets
Your cats have just got into the habit of going in and out...they can be kept in all night and save the local wildlife. Probably too late to retrain yours though. Hope your cat recovers well.
My cat is out all night and let in when I wake up for work... A few mice/voles so he's not a trained killer by any stretch. He leaves them outside on the path by the door so passers by step on them sometimes. Not nice seeing a tiny vole pancake flat with half it's head missing.
Hello Helen . Hope all is well with you and yours . Jasper has come home . He has VERY heavy breathing , they knocked him out etc . Found a lump in his throat / Chest area . Our Vet is good enough to say they can take a sample , but that is VERY invasive . We have said NO . He is happy , we now know where the noise is coming from , and given the fact he is 15 , don't want any traumatic issues for him . Hope you understand . Kind regards *** Apologies all I thought I had sent this as I Private Chat ***
Sometimes it is best to make decisions like that....not a believer in heroic medicine. Sometimes best to let nature take its course if there is no suffering. We did that with our dog...no pain, so we left it...enjoyed his time with us and he died with his head in my mother's lap. All the best.
