We have a terrific understudy in Marshall. Far better than the Jak Leicester would be well placed making a move for him before another club moves into pole position.

I think some people on here hear what they want to. PB has reported something that has come to his attention. Just because it's on the same day we make a signing makes no difference. If it went unreported the same people would be moaning they aren't doing their job properly. None of them hate City, they're in the media and they are unbiased. Not being a City supporter is not the same as not liking the club or being negative. In fact I'd rather they be negative but honest than print loads of quasi-positive bullshit.
Phil Buckingham is the best City reporter we've had for years, his stuff is well written, balanced and accurate. I can understand people taking a pop at Burnsy for his doomsday stuff, but with Phil it's completely undeserved.
So what would he gain from posting something he made up in a regional newspaper, aside from tarnishing his professional reputation? If he is sent something, he's going to post it, having checked it first no doubt. Any Hull City news is something we are going to need to hear, regardless of whether we think it's nice or not.
