I reckon that Pixie is one of those sad blokes who, having been dragged up very poor and not being able to afford decent toys, he's now reliving his early teens by getting into BMX bikes and skateboards. I have always humoured him, but a part of me has felt guilty about doing it. On your meet up, Pixie will be like the younger, spotty brother that you wished you'd never had.
I did grow up quite poor. But I saved up all my paper round money and birthday money and bought myself a *****ose BMX when I was 10. I was the ****ing pint sized don of my local BMX track Let's meet up and put your comparison of me being the 'spotty little brother' to your '6ft ripped curly blonde haired rock god lawyer' to the test then mate ?
I'm happily married mate. You are the one who keeps going on about homo-erotic fantasies. What's up ? Are you afraid that your assessment of me being the 'spotty little brother' compared to your '6 ft blonde rock god lawyer' isn't going to stack up in reality ?
It's a great city. I've been three times. Mainly for the cannabis cafe culture. But the city is really culturally rich and full of great galleries and museums. The Vondelpark is great in the summer for open air gigs.
Could be one for the future lads, like I say start small and if it goes well the possibilities are endless... This really does have the potential to be ****ing epic
It will. Honestly feel it's just a matter of numbers and when now. Don't worry Hiag there will be photos posted as evidence
I used to post on a forum called AHFC. They arranged various meet ups. It all started well before turning personal and ugly. All sorts of mad **** stemmed from those meet ups. Personal feuds, possible affairs, the works! Also the not606sub United forum developed a proper community. They arranged a dinner which turned into an annual thing with an ex-United guest speaker. It went on for years, may still be going, and they'd get 50-100 attendees I think.
Tom Clare organised the not606sub dinners. He's quite well known amongst United fans. Lovey guy, I should really get in touch with him again soon. http://foreverababe.com/about-tom-clare.php
Agree it can do that but on the flip side it can form friendships too. Also the reason that, as ****ish as it may sound, I don't consider this open to everyone who posts on the PL board. Some may say it's not my place to decide that etc. but there's some on here that I have no interest in going for a drink with or socialising with that sort of person in general. The meet ups on the Saints board have gone pretty well though. I've probably met over 10 from there at least once and it's nice to have a variety of people from different walks of life with a mutual interest. Don't get me wrong there's some I'm not really keen on and don't get on with that well but not in a nasty way. There's also one poster in particular that I think is a top bloke in person but really don't get on with on here (I mean really!) There's also one poster in particular who I clicked with straightaway, we talk fairly often through text and I consider him a good friend now who I can speak to about personal stuff. There's also a designated pub where people meet before every home game, nice knowing that without even contacting anyone I can pop in for a pint and see a familiar face to say hello.
