Fill it up courtesy of Dawn of Hope, 3.10 Ponty. BV offering 11/8. Not much of a price but really an odds on shot so pile on.

Agree with this one, especially with the rain forecast this morning. Should be a class above but I'd advise just a small saver on PERMISSION in the same race. Length defeat to Tisbutadream giving her 22lbs reads particularly well with that one going in in the Distaff on Saturday. Permission stays further, goes well fresh, and Fanshawe won this last year. Might even do the reverse forecast.

Two selections for me today 2 singles and small ew double - Both from the new kid on the block - Olly Murphy

    3.55 Wolves- Jazz Legend-7/1

Could look a massive price come 4.00 - he has tumbled down the weights - got a decent draw and from his first week in training he cant much wrong and this horse looks the kind of horse I'm sure the trainer will do very well with

9.05 Uttox- SKY OF STARS- 6/1

Same applies to this horse as per above, making his handicap debut and with Richard Johnson on board looks set to go close

Effectively giving it 8lbs once you take off the WFA. Still pretty decent form though. A small saver to cover the stake seems wise <ok>

I flagged Olly up in one of my posts last week Woolly. He has a yard full of horses who have underachieved and this guy can/will get more out of all of them. For those that do not know him he was assistant trainer at Gordon Elliots.
He had an eventful first week with his first runner winning and then having a one two at Market Rasen in a ladies race. He has already fallen foul with the authorities mind, he was fined by the stewards for withdrawing runners that he accidentally declared.
Well worth following in my opinion. (for what that's worth)

    Beef stew and Dumplings. 9/10

Cor blimey, that sounds somewhat ‘cloak and dagger’! I hope the conclusion to this tale doesn’t result in everything being blamed on the old boy vet.

Murphy was also based with Alan King for quite a while. I think prior to his switch to Gord Elliott. So has certainly been well tutored.

Olly Murphy has started his training career with a bang and sends two runners to Utoxy with Dickie Johnson on board. Both runners have patchy form so won't be backing them but will keeping an eye on both and hope they run well.

I should add that Permission was 6/1 at the time of agreeing the save bet, now 9/2. Dawn of Hope still slightly odds against (11/10) so the 11/8 looking decent value. Bet would have been 8 points at 11/8 Dawn of Hope and 1.5 points at 6/1 Permission (as per my normal banker plus saver bet). So basically I'm taking evens to a free bet on DOH, I think

Just looking through the cards and in the 3.25 Wolves I was drawn to VIOLA PARK because last week he beat BOGSNOG by two lengths. BOGSNOG has just boosted my confidence by winning the opener.
In the last at Ponty I will go for EXCLUSIVE WATER to complete the hat trick.

DOH being so appropriate. Even drifted out to 6/4 FFS. Btn nk. With what logic could one have come up with that 14/1 winner?

Thank God nobody takes any notice of my selections, other than to lay them. Could be a winning strategy

Looked all over the winner on paper, especially with Varian's yard in top form. Permission ran like she didn't have permission!

Does make you wonder why she was allowed to go off at 6/4
