Looking at a contract for a construction project overseas. Looks like I'm off to Bahrain, anybody been?
Yeah but many years ago, some nice hotels there and the markets are a bit mad. Went to see the tree of life which was a bit odd but worth a trek out if you like that kind of thing. please log in to view this image
Cheers, been looking for something new to watch on there so will give that a go at some point this week.
I assume this is deemed unusual as it's thriving in the middle of a desert? See I wouldn't notice things like that until somebody pointed it out, I'd just drive past it.
It's really well done. HBO filmed it over 5 years during the conflict, plus lots of footage from Syrian locals mobile phones etc.. It also gives you a good insight into the history of Syria, how the revolution attempt started and the Assad regime etc. Dropping chemical weapons on schools, absolute ****er. I didn't realise how bad this **** was, tortured kids to death daily. Some of the scenes in it are shocking. I watch about 5 documentaries a week, this is probably the best one* I've seen this year. *or 'Jim - The James Foley Story' (also on Netflix, about the American conflict reporter that got beheaded on live TV) Both are excellent in their own right tbh.
I don't fancy being escorted around any country by a scouser where the punishment for theft is the brutal removal of limbs.
I would actually quite like to drop everything and become a conflict reporter. If I didn't have kids I'd seriously think about it. Risky as **** though so you have to a weird love of danger.
Yeah...I know what you mean...too risky though....I appreciate the job they do...I enjoy my weed too much...I'm staying
I'm staying too. But I could see myself doing something like that if my circumstances were different. Crazy **** but get stuck right in to get the truth out.
I'll be watching this stuff..I always know I'm going to be fuming and cursing people by the end of these kind of documentaries. Innocent people in the middle of it all as usual.
