OK Newcastle not possibly the best example, but he really cannot expect to play for a side with designs on a top 6 finish. So the likes of them what you mention could easily put him in the : Sinclair, Rodwell or Delph catagory of never playing and development free fall. But hey, he would get richer faster! As much as he was good for us last season, it was in fits and starts, is he PL ready? Maybe if used sparingly. A solid 40+ games in the championship this season on the same upward curve and I reckon he'll be PL ready and then he can really start commanding the big bucks. I hope he thinks that one more season with us, hopefully playing a lot will be the best thing for him. A lot will rest on how him and Farke get on, as if Farke can make him believe that he will develop then he could well want to stay. Bah!
EDP claim Jacob M is not for sale. Not sure who their source is but it seems emphatic. However, at £8.5m he is not for sale, but at £12m? Update: Ruddy to Wolves Bennett to Wolves Lafferty to Hibs Whitaker to Hearts Bassong to Fulham? Howson to Middlesbrough Dorrans to Rangers I think I have missed a few so please add to the list
Never heard of him. But that is a lot of money for a skint club who can't afford to spend any money. Especially on a totally unknown. http://readnorwich.com/2017/07/10/norwich-keen-on-leistner-move/
Less than a year on his contract and playing in the German second division for over £3m ? Wow that's half the Johnny Howson fee and 4 times Dorrans. Mugs
FFS you lot.....You've been winging and whining and crying your eyes out because we haven't signed central defenders, now we've signed one with another potential in the mix you're STILL flicking whining. Do you think we can just go out and get a reasonable central defender for 2 quid? The answer is NO WE CANT!!!!
For £3m plus we should be able to aquire someone pretty decent and a full International that plays in the Countries top league. We need a left back and Swansea swooped for the Swedish International left back for a reported £4m . We need to be able to make those kind of deals , especially as we don't have any left backs .
If Howson contract was longer we would have got more for him but as he didn't want to sign a new contract and we forced him to stay for another season than we would have got even less for him. So in that terms it was good business, but Wildshut was very poor business.
And you know how good, or bad, he is because.....? DF knows him, so maybe you should trust the man to get it right.
