Seems really unfair that players get an extra challenge if the set goes to a tie-break but not if the set goes on and on and on... Rafa hasn't got any left and it could make a difference.
Same applies to Muller though. It's not his fault that Rafa has used his up, but he hasn't. Personally, I agree that players should get extra challenges. But I don't see it being "unfair" that they don't.
Agree with this. Though it's the same situation for both players. They should get an extra challenge every 6 games or something.
It's more unfair that they get one for a tie-break but not in this situation. Couldn't honestly care less that Nadal's used all his
It's the same for both players so don't see the problem. If they challenge correctly, they don't lose them anyway. Teaches them to use them wisely and not strategically.
Well no, nor do I to be honest; I'm quite happy that he's used all his up - given that I want Rafa to lose.
I'd be so angry if I was Novak. Centre Court has been available for sometime now. But instead, he's almost certainly going to have to miss his day off tomorrow.
I was arguing with my housemate about 45 minutes ago that they get reset. He was having none of it. I'm now sat here quite smug seeing as though he's an ex tennis captain!
There's a voice in the back of my head though that says that is that now. They don't continue to be reset at 18-18, 24-24 etc. I might be wrong.
I think I'm the only one on here that wants Rafa to win. Muller looks the more likely though. Fair play to both though, it's been a cracking game
In fairness, no-one would have predicted that this match would have gone on so long. There'd still be people wandering around but Centre Court would have emptied and I don't know whether Novak and Mannarino would want to play a 4th round match at a Grand Slam in an empty stadium.
Whereas I'm sort of going the other way. Alongside Puck's comments, if Muller was good enough he'd surely have won by now. He's got so close, but just can't get over the line (fantastic effort from him though). I'm just waiting for that one poor service game, and Rafa to pounce.
